Easy to adjust to my hiking boots and taking on and off. Perfect for moderate terrain. Have not used the heel lift yet, but glad that this model has the option.

They come with a strap to secure to your backpack, which came in handy for a spring hike where I wasn't sure if I would need them. Turns out I did and they worked great. I wasn't slipping at all thanks to the extra teeth on the sides, the heel-lift make the steep inclines a lot easier, and they stayed on my foot the whole time. Thanks to the REI employee who recommended these!
