I'm a big guy, but I currently wear an XL snow pant from another brand. Was looking for something a bit bigger and better material. This XXL is SIGNIFICANTLY smaller, especially in the waist/hip area. The size chart says waist 42-45 (well within what should fit me), but they fit like a 38 or 40... I really don't understand why all snow pants these days are being made like skinny jeans. They're meant to layer. Make them looser! Rant aside, if you don't have the sizing issues I apparently have, these seem like good material, and I like the metal hook in the waistband to positively back up the buttons. The RECCO reflector is a nice add too.
Within a few weeks the pants ripped, either on tree or ski edge on side of inner leag near boot. I wish the inner leg near boot was reinforced.
My best fitting ski pants ever were Helly Hanson. Don’t think so anymore. I like to replace them as they are getting old and ratty. I’ve looked at numerous HH styles all and at other sources including the HH website and, I could be wrong, but see no choices for leg length. One length fits all ? WRONG. These would be unacceptable as I need short length. Those who need long length are also out of luck. Won’t buy. I’ve been a REI member for 25 years.
I wear 33/34 waist and these run very small. couldn't even zip them and the legs are very narrow. no room in the seat either.
I'm 6-3 and 180 with 34 inseam -- the XL is spacious with room for a thick layer underneath. Haven't tried them in the snow yet
I have a 33 inch waist and these fit perfectly even without layers.
Tore at the bottom of the leg on my first day of skiing. Not cool
