Wore these during my 11 mile hike at Theodore Roosevelt National Park and they were amazing. I had no issues with blisters or the socks slipping. Also love the cute design.
Great cushioning. Love the design. Wish REI carried the purple and grey. Socks fit smaller than smartwool socks. I bought a small, but probably should have sized up in the darn tough, but I was use to the SW small being too big. Foot size 7.5 D wide.
Great socks that keep my feet dry with no blisters . The only reason I gave them 4 stars is because the size guidelines said I should buy a medium ( I wear size 7.5 in womens shoes ) but I actually found a size small to be a more accurate fit for these socks . I’m glad REI has a good return policy so it was not a problem to swap out the size if you live close to a store .
Wanted to love these socks. Cute, nice in-between height. But after a few washings (cold water, air dry) they shrank to the point where they no longer fit properly.
These are hands down the best socks for hiking and they have a lifetime warranty on them! I’m an avid hiker and only wear darn tough socks. I’ve had several of my pairs for years and have never had to use the lifetime warranty. It’s just great reassurance to know it’s there and that the company backs their products.
Man, I love these socks! They feel like a hug for your feet and give a little cushion on the sole. They’re warm enough for winter and wick sweat away in summer. They’re pricey but they last. Wash in the washer and dry on a rack - they dry quickly, and because they are merino wool you can wear them several days before washing. They don’t smell or get stiff. I now have five pair, so I cleaned out my sock drawer to these plus a few plainer ones for work. That’s all I need. They’re wonderful!
Love my Darn Tough socks! My husband and I stumbled onto Darn Tough a few years ago and ever since that is just about all we buy in the way of socks. This may sound silly, but after trying to figure out what to give our grown kids for Christmas, we decided on a pair of Darn Toughs and some money. We knew we couldn’t go wrong on that gift set.
The only possibly negative thing I might say about these socks is that they are pretty thick.
Cutest too. I love these socks. Not too thick, not too thin, and very comfortable. I have worn them for hiking and trail running, probably will wear them mountain biking also. Worth the price.
Darn Tough socks are darn comfortable! Great for any occasion - hiking, biking, walking, lounging. Whatever you do in these socks, you'll love them. They hug and support the foot/ankle without squeezing. No pinching toe seam. And, they hold their form and threads wash after wash! Wish I had a whole drawer full of Darn Tough.
