Warm gloves, but not built to last
I bought these for my boyfriend a few years ago. While he likes the pocket on the back of the hand for storing his pass (really convenient for the RFID readers!) and he hasn't complained about their level of warmth, the seams on both gloves have ripped between the thumb and palm of the hand after 2 seasons of skiing (roughly 10-15 days per season). We found out this weekend his dad bought the same pair and had the same issue. Absolutely not worth it for the price. I have been wearing my Burton mittens (which were roughly the same price) for 8+ years now and the prior gloves my boyfriend had (Swany) lasted him over a decade.
Super Warm!!!!
Wow, these things are amazing! So warm and comfortable plus the leather is very nice. I've used these in extremely low temps -20 and my hands were very warm. Works with my phone too!!!
Very Reliable-Snowboarding
The up-sides: I have worn these gloves snowboarding twice now and they are able to last me a full day (around 7 hours of outdoor exposure). The first time I went, the temperature was ~38°F and the second time, ~22°F. My hands were able to stay warm and comfortable all day in both conditions. I recomend using heatwarmers for any conditions below 10°F. Heatwarmers between the 20to 40°F rage was warm enough to make my hands sweat. They were very water-proof after I applied a heafly coat of leather sealer and snow didn't freeze nor stick to the gloves. The leather is able to withstand the sharp edge of my snowboard and the design seems durable and easy to put on(not those jacket "over the glove" colvers though). They are also very flexable, great for snow shovelin'. The Down-Sides: Some may not buy these due to the steep price, but it is WELL WORTH IT for uses in exteme weather. The "smart touch feature doesn't work at all, but I didn't find an absolute need for it anyway. Keep in mind that there are a lot of gloves outhere that promise this featue but don't deliver. If this feature is that important to you, go out and TRY the gloves.
Awesome Gloves!
These are great. Don’t want mittens and was nervous fingers would get cold, but these are great!
Good, but not great.
I was expecting more from these gloves. They're definitely warmer than the ones i had, but my hands did get a bit cold when it was only in the 20°F. Hand warmers in the zipper pockets did the trick, but i didn't feel like i should need them for gloves at this price. Also kind of bummed that they don't have leashes on them. I get worried losing them on the lift.
Could be a lot better
Very difficult to insert hands, a very tight fit. Not genuinely waterproof. Riding on zodiacs and getting some splash, but not a significant amount, and gloves were wet, hands were too.
Super Warm
I love these Heatwave Ascent gloves! Amazing quality, fit and they look great. These gloves have been thru a lot and have really held up nicely. The best part is they are waterproof and warm, super warm. They might be the warmest gloves I've ever owned.
Seem failure AND not that warm
seem failed between thumb and forefinger after approximately 10 uses downhill skiing. This supposedly warm glove is no warmer than gloves half as expensive!
