Comfortable shorts, poor design
Unfortunately the description for this product is wrong, I suppose I should have checked the tasc site more closely. These shorts have no zipper pockets, just 1 open pocket on each side and a patch pocket on the right liner that can hold a phone. The open pockets aren't terribly deep so it's hard to feel comfortable at all running with something in them. I ran with my house keys in one and I didn't lose them, but I felt like I had to be consciously checking to make sure they didn't fall out. The patch pocket on the liner is so tall that it is nearly inaccessible while wearing the shorts. The outer layer is tight enough that it is very hard to pull them up high enough to expose the top of this pocket. The pocket is probably large enough to hold most phones, though definitely not convenient to get it in and out. So while the shorts are otherwise pretty comfortable, it's a big miss, to me, to lack a good place to put keys/cards/ID/gels during a run and quite disappointed with the liner pocket.
Great shorts sans the shallow pockets
I really enjoy running in these shorts. The breath well and are very comfortable. My only complaint is that you can't trust things to stay in your pockets. They are shallow and things like a phone or even you car keys easily slip out. All in all, a very good product.
Good Running Shorts
great shorts only issue is you must pull the leg of the exterior shell all the way up to access the liner pocket. they should have a little opening in the exterior pocket to access the interior pocket.
shallow pockets, no zippers
Anything I put in these pockets falls out when I run. With zippers these would be perfect. without them, I won’t run in them. Everything else about them is fine and price was good.
