Not an improvement
I was so sad when I lost the Hoka flip flops I purchased last year. They were so comfortable with the thick rocker sole and smooth rubber thong. They were the only shoes I could comfortably wear after foot surgery. The new version is not only $15 more, but the fabric thong with a thinner, harder edge is uncomfortable and they are not true to size (looser), making my feet slide inward with my big toes hanging off the edges. I ordered these flipflops online with in-store pickup; thank goodness I had the sense to try them on. I returned them before leaving the store.
Hoka flip flops are a flop
I bought these flip flops in a size 8. When I tried them on, they felt too small. My heal felt like it was going to fall out the back and I had too much room in the front. The placement of the strap needs to be moved up forward.
Super comfy and seems durable
Just what I needed to rest my arthritic big toe at the end of the day. I wear these as slippers and they have been great.
Hoka One One Recovery Flip Flops
I have several pairs of Hoka One One shoes and love them in a size 7. I ordered a pair online size 7 and noticed they run small. My heel stick out on the back. Will return these and order a size larger.
rubbed my foot raw
I wore these for less than 20 minutes and they rubbed a raw line in my foot that is still healing 3 days later. I have the slides version of this shoe and love them.
Soooooooo comfortable
These recovery flip-flops are very comfortable. I understand why they are marketed as "recovery" flip-flops. They have the most cushion of any similar type footwear that I've ever purchased. Would definitely buy again if they go on sale.
Need to Rethink the Strap
While I appreciate all the work put into the design of this shoe's sole, Hoka should have also put care into the design of the strap. It's rough and stiff, especially the part that goes between the toes, giving me blisters. Why not a nice soft leather strap that won't irritate sensitive skin areas? The soles are super comfortable, but not the straps. I will probably be returning these. Also, why not make this shoe in a wide?
Comfortable but not durable
Very comfortable flip flops. Now that it has warmed up I transitioned to these from my slippers & I have been wearing them mostly around the house to help plantar fasciitis symptoms. I decided to take them backpacking this past week to use as camp shoes since they are very light & a toe strap broke on one them. For the price & having only owned them for about two months I’m pretty disappointed.
not the quality or comfort I expect with Hoka!
My foot slides around inside the sandal. It is hard and not soft to my foot especially between the toes. I did not get relief when putting these on after a long hike. I bought these seven months ago and keep trying to like them but it’s not happening I return them today. If you loved of the previous model do not waste your time with this one, in my opinion!
Take a pass
These flip flops rubbed a blister on my toe the first time I wore them. I wrapped the toe strap with moleskin and a couple weeks later the strap broke when I stepped in some mud at the lake. I wouldn’t recommend these flip flops.
