REI Co-op  Midweight Base Layer Zip Hoodie - Women's

I’m really happy with this mid layer! It’s not very thick (which is nice weight-wise) but surprisingly warm for the weight. I was looking for something that would be the right amount of warmth alone over a t-shirt for hiking in 50s to 60s degrees F, and it is! Fits great (XS, 5’4”, 125 lbs). The hood is fitted and keeps my ears nice and cozy when the wind picks up.

I am looking forward to wearing this. I am 5'5" 32 chest, 135 lbs, and I bought a medium. It is slightly loose, but the small was just too clingy. However, if I went by the size chart I WOULD be a small. I guess it just matters how clingy you want it. I plan on wearing a tshirt underneath (as i live in a warm climate and very rarely need a base layer) so if you wore it as a literal base layer that might work for you.

I ordered a women's and a men's version of the Midnight Base Layer Zip Hoodie. Men's has a light fleece inner coating and the women's has nothing. Women's is thinner overall. Men's also has a textured fabric in the back whereas the women's is plain. I would hardly call the women's version "MIdweight". Disappointed.

The medium weight fabric feels dense, stretchy and cozy, and they got the hood right, scuba-style with the neck up to chin and close around the face, meaning no gaps and will fit well under layers or a helmet. Good job REI!

I bought this to replace my beloved Helly Hansen midweight thermal. It might not end up serving the same function, but I absolutely love it. I usually wear a S, but ordered an XS, as I remembered trying on a small in store last month and not liking the fit. The sleeves are still a bit long, but I roll them up. If you prefer a tighter fit for your base layers, I suggest going a size smaller than usual. I wore it on a big hike this weekend and it was perfect - definitely sweat wicking and quick drying! Will wear for many future adventures. Great price point - $30!

I literally own three of these (thank goodness for good sales) and hoped REI was still making these so I could give them as holiday presents this year. I LOVE them. They are super comfortable, soft and stretchy yet still flattering. I use them for running and hiking when the weather is cold. As long as I'm moving well and generating some body heat, this and a t-shirt is all I need down to around 40 degrees, even with some wind. The hood stays on well and stays out of my eyes. Between the zip neck and hood, it offers great thermoregulation options. I often change my use multiple times during a run. I also use it as a sleep layer during cold weather or cool summer night camping. BRING THIS BACK, REI!!!

This item is SO Comfortable and flattering, if this was still available i was about to buy more. unfortunately my search will go on! but i am extremely happy with this item, the hood is great and the shirt is WARM! Thank you REI (Pls consider bringing this item back) !

Feels good on my skin; moves with me; hood perfect-my favorite piece of clothing. If it was available I would buy three more just like it.

I bought this and the matching pants as a sleeping set for spring and fall camping when nights are in the 40s or below. I'm a larger person (230 lbs) and usually wear a 2XL in women's wear, but for these the XL fits great--close to my body but not overly snug or tight. I like how the hood fully covers my neck and head, keeping me warm and cozy at night. If it's cold enough to add a hat, you can fit it under the hood to keep it in place. In the morning, I keep the top on until the day warms up enough to change into something cooler.
