Temperature ratings are intended as a guideline to help you compare products, rather than a guarantee of warmth, since many different factors contribute to your comfort while you sleep. Backpacking bags are typically rated for temperature according to an independent testing protocol—currently International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 23537, though some older items followed European Norm (EN) 13537. Testing is based on a person wearing one base layer and a pair of socks, sleeping on an insulated surface with a minimum R-value of 5.38.

Each bag then gets 2 ratings: the Comfort rating is the lowest temperature at which the bag will keep the average "cold sleeper" comfortable, and the Lower Limit rating is the lowest temperature at which the bag will keep the average "warm sleeper" comfortable. Some brands determine their own temperature rating by aligning to the Comfort rating for women’s bags, to the Lower Limit rating for men’s bags, or somewhere in the middle for nongendered bags.

not what I thought

I got the bag because it looks to be a lot more roomy then a normal mummy bag for my wife bacuse she gets kid of claustrophobic in mummy bags but its not and if you are 6 foot you got to go one size larger I'm 6' 180 on the money and there is no way I could fit in it not even close. The build quality feel cheaper than 110 bag should feel.I know its a low tier bag but it has this overall cheap feeling that i have never seen with any other montain hardware products. oh ya the zipper is a nightmare it took me 4 tries to unsnag it to get it back closed and I was not even in it.

Bozeman 25F/-4c Women's Sleeping Bag

Mountain Hardware, you never disappoint. The quality of this bag is outstanding (especially given the price point), and it more than does the job of keeping me warm, I was downright cozy on the trip that this was used on where temperatures dipped to 30 degrees. Lightweight and compactable, this is perfect for most of my backpacking adventures. Tried and tested, all of my current sleeping bags are Mountain Hardware, I swear by their products. Customer for life.

Excellent bag!

I was looking for a more compact sleeping bag for my daughter as the one she had was good but it way too bulky. This Women’s Bozeman was lighter and smaller which made easier to compress to fit in her pack. We camped two nights in the low 30s and she didn’t have one compliant, was warm the entire time. For the price, this is one heck of a deal! My only advice is to watch the size. My daughter is only about 5’4” and the regular was basically an exact fit

Convincing a Skeptic: Great Bag!

My sister had some pretty bad experiences backpacking, and swore it off 15 years ago. After some convincing, and a trip back with borrowed gear, she wanted to go again! I got her this sleeping bag (and a new pack) since my Mountain Hardwear bag is my fave. She loved it! Nice, Warm, Roomy, light, and packable. Here's to many more backpacking adventures!

Awesome Bag

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for my gf alongside a Men's Bozeman and they zip together nicely. Only thing is there is a slight gap down at the bottom where they zip together which would allow some potential bugs and cold to get it, but not too bad. I have yet to test it out in the elements but got inside it to see how it feels I am really excited to put it to use.

Comfy sleeping bag

I like the look and feel of the sleeping bag. Haven't tried it out in different situations yet but its comfy. My only complaint is trying to roll it up and putting it in the bag. There are no strings to tie it up once its rolled so trying to get it in the carry bag is difficult. You end up just shoving it in best you can.

Will be great for my camping this summer

It isn’t so much of a mummy that you can’t move around but still light and easy to carry. I like that you can use the stuff sack as a travel pillow when you turn it inside out and use the fleecy inside. Should be great for my rafting trip this summer!

Great Sleeping Bag

The Bozeman Flame sleeping bag is exactly what I was searching for. It is well made and toasty warm. I wanted a synthetic bag due to the damp conditions here in Northern Michigan. Love the color. I got the tall as I am 5'9' it is plenty long enough,
