Good tent that will hold up over time. I made my own footprint out of plastic, and with that I don't anticipate any problems. The tent is super light, but well insulated with the rain cover. I don't think its something I will be able to abuse as much as my other gear, but it seems as if it will hold up to the test of backpacking across the prairies of Texas and Sierra Nevada
I have mixed feelings about this tent. I've taken this on numerous journeys into the backcountry with and without a companion. For two people it's really a tight fit and the vestibule is very small. Without the rainfly up i was getting bit through the mesh by bugs as the walls angle in laying on my side my skin came in contact with the mesh. I can say that in a solid downpour this tent did stay dry but again the small vestibule made it difficult to get two backpacks into it to keep them out of the rain. On single person trips this is great on two person trips I think i may explore something larger. ultimately i woud recommend it but with the caveats above.
Lightweight and priced right. The tent is freestanding but the rainfly will need staked out. I don't plan to share this tent with another camper; if you need to sleep more than 1 person I'd recommend a two door tent.
