Another Awesome Marmot Product

I already had the Marmot Long Hauler in the medium size, but realized it was just a touch too small. So I ordered the matching one in the next size up, which is perfect for all my ski gear and street clothes combined. Now I can bring my kids with me, and all we need are the two bags for all our gear. I've also been impressing people by how good I look now, wherever I go on my adventures. The features of these bags are so thoughtful, I imagine that they will be waterproof and sturdy even in the toughest situations, like tied on top of a tour bus in the Himalayas or the like. Wish I had my Long Hauler back then...Thanks again, Marmot!!!

Great bag

I got this bag for a daily gym/work clothes bag as part of my job I need multiple types of clothes available. I use carry the below clothes daily in this bag: 1x boots 1x fitness shoes 1x casual shoes 1x light/medium jacket 1x workout shorts/ short sleeve shirt 1x work out long sleeve top/bottom 1x towel 1x hygiene kit 1x set casual clothing 1x set uniform 3x socks/underwear This all fits in the main compartment with 1/4 left over. The 2x side organization compartments are a great feature my NorthFace duffle didn’t have that I replaced with this bag. Only reason I took a star away is I wish it had dedicated carry hands and remove the shoulder straps.

Good for Clothing

If you're only planning to carry clothes in packing cubes, this bag should be great for it's purpose. It's water-proof, has side straps to tie it down from the outside, and internal straps to strap everything down inside. However, if you're planning to pack gear into this, you might want to get something that holds its shape better. I was planning use this as my gym backpack for boxing and it wasn't the best for it. I found it hard to hold it's shape if you have gear that moves and slides freely inside the bag. When I was using it a backpack, looks like I had a big belly that was hanging from behind.

Sturdy bag, perfect for trips

If you're looking for a sturdy bag with plenty of room in an incredible color, look no further! This is my new favorite, go-to travel bag. I love that it comes with multiple compartments that allow me to stay organized. There's plenty of room to store clothing, accessories, and shoes. It's come in real handy for packing for races since I'm able to divide out my nutrition and running items too. The bag is waterproof and I appreciate that it's designed to be able to convert it into a backpack - I haven't used that option yet, but it's good to know that I can if I need to!

Great bag but needs a few updates

I bought this bag to travel around Europe. It is the perfect size, extremely durable, and has lots of handles to carry. The only downside is the backpack straps have almost no padding so carrying on the shoulders with anything around 30 pounds is pretty rough. Also, you loan interior pocket for the main compartment is on the hatch lid so if you store anything in it, the objects jam into your back if you carry it backpack style so it made it useless. Overall I really like the bag and am happy with the purchase but would recommend a different bag for heavier loads.

A great duffel, but sometimes simple is better.

I love duffels. I pack gear- tents, pads, sleeping bags, etc in them when heading to the outdoors. This one is very nice and will do the job fine, but I actually think that it has too many bells and whistles. I would prefer fewer internal organizational pockets and such. I think the backpack straps that double as a handle make it harder to access the large interior compartment quickly. Overall, the quality is nice and I would certainly recommend it, I just wish it had fewer zippers and pockets. In my view, a basic duffel is more useful for my needs. I can see that this would be good for air travel if you prefer to use a duffel over conventional luggage. Still lots of stars and kudos to Marmot for making very stout and durable stuff.

Love this bag!!!

I've had this bag for about a year, and I think it's amazing. It's got plenty of space, lots of compartments for separating items, and it's incredibly durable. I also love the "locking" buckles, and the ability to compress the contents of the bag with the straps. I also love that it's waterproof, for times when your luggage sits out on a rainy cart. The only one thing that I'm not a fan of is that when you wear it as a backpack, there is not waist strap, so the bag gets very heavy on my shoulders. Other than than, this is a great duffel bag!

Awesome duffel

My first thought, after opening this box in the mail, is that this color is awesome (I got the Neptune/Denim). It's awesome to have a bag which looks bright and distinctive so it won't be at risk for being mistaken as someone else's while traveling. My second thought was that this bag looked super small, and there was no way it could be 50 liters. However, once I started packing things into it, it was obvious that this bag would be able to fit everything I need. This duffel packs so much room into the beautiful, compact, well-constructed package Marmot is known for. The zippers are sooo nice, the backpack straps are comfy and convenient, and the water-resistant top flap will be really durable. This will definitely be my go to bag for travel.
