POC Quality + Design at Affordable Price
This is my 2nd POC helmet after a POC Octal X with SPIN. This one is used for winter riding and fits a winter cycling hat comfortably underneath. It is very comfortable and I really like SPIN better than MIPS as the MIPS plastic thing is uncomfortable IMO. This offers good POC design & quality at about 1/2 the price of my other POC helmet that I use in warmer months. I think this is good for everything from regular road rides to gravel and XC MTB. But I do prefer my Octal X for racing and more intense riding, as it has better venting and a little more coverage down at the back of the skull. I definitely would buy this helmet again & recommend it! To other reviewers complaining of the strap being too close to their neck - this is adjustable! You can fish the strap through the Y-shaped plastic piece to move it up or back slightly. I did so and it took 5 mins to get it just right for me.

nice helmet but unadjustable strap splitters
This helmet is sleek, lightweight, and high quality. Unfortunately I can't make it work because the strap splitters are too low and go under my chin. After searching online to figure out whether I was doing something wrong, I found that this is a known design flaw. I highly recommend trying this on in store if you're considering the purchase.

Super comfy but doesn't vent well

I got this after i crashed and cracked my helmet while on vacation. I was fine, luckly, but needed a new helmet ASAP to keep riding. I ran into REI and tried this on. It is suuuuuuper comfy, and I loved the look of it. HOWEVER, i tend to run pretty hot, and I find the venting on this helmet to not work quite as well as I'd hoped. I'm really torn; on the one hand I love the fit and finish of the lid, but on the other hand, I just hate feeling too hot. I'd say that if you run cool, this would be a fantastic helmet to pick up, especially for the price. If you run hot, I'd look at POCs more ventilated offerings.

Great Helmet ruined by the strap design.

This helmet was perfect. Super comfortable fit exactly like I wanted it to, except for the straps. I have a 56cm measurement and went with the S size. The plastic piece where the straps meet were right on the middle of my ears. No way to adjust them. I tried on a Medium Ventral Spin with a similar non-adjustable strap design and it fit wonderfully (for $150 more though). I might try a Medium and see if that's any better or move up to the Ventral Air. Wish these were stocked in store so I could try them on before deciding. The Smith and Bontrager selection in my store all were nowhere near the comfort of this helmet (minus the straps). If you can find one in store in your size to try, I say give this one a shot. If you order online, be prepared to make a return.

Great helmet unless its really hot

I tried this helmet twice. First time the temperature was in mid 60's and it was great. Good fit, seems much more secure than my Giro Atmos or Laser Z1. Today I tried it with the temperature at 88 degrees. I was overheated in 15 minutes. I then did the same loop with my Giro Atmos. Much better venting and heat control. So I am returning it since much of my cycling is in hot weather. I will try the POC Ventral Air Spin. This would be a great winter helmet or in non very hot conditions.

Looks great; sizing runs smaller than an Octal

I was super disappointed that this didn't fit me. I have a larger head and the Octal is my favorite helmet, and I was really excited to see something from Poc that was a little more streamlined. Unfortunately, the fit is not the same. Just like the Ventral series, this helmet is narrower front to back. The finish of the helmet is lovely though, especially at this price point. Lovely details all around.

Just what I was waiting for!

I am a recreational cyclist and so happy POC designed a helmet for my budget. This is a beautiful helmet for the price and I'm very excited to finally own a POC helmet for cycling. The fit is perfect and I love the SPIN pads. I would recommend this helmet to anyone.

Looks great, but has non-adjustable ear straps

I read many reviews about the non-adjustable ear straps but decided to take a chance. Unfortunately I ran into the same issue. It’s comfortable on my head, but the straps sit right on my earlobes. Disappointed. If not for this poor design, it would be a good helmet.

Does not fit- bad strap design

I wanted to love this helmet. It looks awesome and REI shipped it to me fast. However, I have the same issue as many other customers- the straps are too short and don't get past my ears! This is a terrible design and I truely do not understand why POC has not taken in customer feedback to make any changes. I just tried on the Ventral Air Spin and it fits much much better. The Omne Air Spin is a flawed design. I'm sure it's a sweet helmet for those who it fits.

Straps ruin this otherwise comfortable helmet

Definitely a design flaw , unless your ears are the size of button mushrooms! Less than 1 hour into my ride and my ears were rubbed raw. The opening for ears is much smaller than the picture and not adjustable. I'll be returning quickly.
