Cheap sandals
What to expect when you buy this sandal... 1. Chafing at the top of your foot where the V has a change of fabric that runs to the toe thing to the upper part of the strap. It will rub you raw for a good week before it breaks in. 2. Expect the toethong to break if you walk in mud or any surface that might cause your foot to pull the sandal. It's an otherwise pretty comfortable sandal. But to break in my second week of wearing it... That's weak.
Terrible. Just terrible.
I bought these because I had good experiences with the beer cozy 1&2. These were very comfortable, but 2 days after I bought them they broke. The left sandal busted as I was walking in it. The strap which goes between your toes completely broke making the sandal useless. Thankfully REI has a great return policy and I got a refund with no questions asked and no hassle. Normally I’m a fan of Sanuk. They dropped the ball hard in this design though. Stay away.
Quality is poor
Normally I am very satisfied with REI purchased products, however one of the flip-flops is beginning to tear on the foot sole where the strap meets the sole after only a couple weeks. The tear will continue to get larger in time.
Second Pair of Sanuk I Bought, Both Terrible
Sanuk is batting 100% for terrible designs in my book. I gave them a second chance after a bad experience with another style/pair. This style had just about everything wrong with them. I kept trying to break them in, but they never became comfortable. They ended up stretching like my other pair making it difficult to keep them on. I found out too late after the return period was over that when they get wet, they stay wet, very wet. Then, after only 5 months of wearing them, the toe strap snapped. Not wasting anymore money on Sanuk.
