Way too big! Fit doesn't match size chart.
Frustrated at how much bigger these are than size guide! I did all the right things: measured my girls before buying, double checked the size chart and read the reviews. But these are huge on them! They have same waist and hips size in inches as their normal size on this items size chart. My suggestion is measure the smallest part of your child's waist area and use that to choose size. Or just size down. Also important, the waist tie is only for show. You can not tighten these like some reviewers mentioned. Now I see those reviews are over 2 years old. Also, there is no liner (my fault for not realizing this). I paid extra to ship quick for our trip but lose that money in refund. Lesson learned.
Way to Big
These are cute shorts but I got a size large because I wear size large clothing and I thought it must be womens large because it was just that big. I will get a smaller size next time. These are great shorts once you have the correct size so I would recommend them but make sure to size way down.
Great for moving!
Very comfortable and the large fits a size 8 adult! Was able to move really well in them.
Comfortable and sizing for women’s 4
Love these shorts, the adult size was sold out so I thought about girls sizing and purchased a large, I’m 5’4 128lbs curvy and wear size 4-6 depending on brand. The waist band is incredibly soft and comfortable, the inseam is just perfect not too long or short and they dry fast. I wish more women’s swimwear was made of this material. Try em on and see for yourself. I purchased a few women’s shorts in various colors and inseam lengths 3-5” and these by far were the comfiest material. Gonna be checking girls clothing next summer!
Perfect for My Active Child
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the Girls' Sandy Board Shorts in a small for my very active child. She normally wears a size 7/8 and the fit is spot on. She loves the butterfly print, and the shorts are light and the fabric dries very quickly. I love the fact that they have an SPF of 50 as well. My daughter loves the shorts, and I plan to purchase another pair in a different print.
Great Short
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought these for my daughter. She wore them hiking, backpacking, white water rafting and even to school. These are her favorite pair of shorts. They dry quick , lightweight and very durable. Loved them so much I bought her 2 more.
Cute on my daughter
These shorts are very cute on my daughter. She wanted them for the beach and casual wear. We are going paddle boarding this weekend and they will be perfect for that. I got her the matching rash guard too.
Great board shorts
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Exactly what my daughter needed for hot summer days with time at the park and beach. She's tall and slim for her age, so sized down to the XXS because the XS were too loose. She's an XS in shirts.
No very covering
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This runs really big. I had to get a XXS for my daughter who is 7yo. Length was ok, if you don’t mind short, but I still had to cinch in the waist. I do wish it would provide more crotch coverage.
Runs large
My daughter has a pair of Columbia board shorts from last year that she has outgrown so we ordered the next size up. They are huge! Consider getting a size down from what you normally buy.
