Perfect Hiking Shoes!

These shoes are perfect for an upcoming hiking trip in NZ. I was looking for waterproof and these seem to fit the bill. I will also wear gaters, so I'll be interested to see how they work out for river crossings. I ordered a 10.5, which is what I typically wear in running shoes and they fit great with thick hiking socks. They fit fine with regular socks, but I probably will never wear them without hiking socks so I'm glad they run a tiny bit big (not a full half size, just a little bit bigger than other 10.5 running shoes I have worn). They are not super stylish, but they are hiking shoes and were the most "stylish" hiking shoes I could find.

Great Product - Great Customer Support

These shoes were a warranty replacement for another similar pair that was 8 years old. First, the TNF warranty policy was outstanding. They covered return shipping for evaluation, and sent a new pair promptly. This is my first TNF product (out of literally hundreds) that ever needed warranty review, and I couldn't be happier. Now, as for the shoes, the actual product: Top notch quality. I've recently been buying Merrell footwear but these appear every bit as good and fit more comfortably out of the box. Styling is a little better as well. 100% satisfaction.

Finally found the perfect pair!

I have been searching and researching for the perfect pair of hikers. LOVE that these look and feel more like comfy athletic shoes as opposed to clunky hiking boots. I needed something durable, waterproof and most importantly comfortable for a trip to Ireland with tons of walking and hiking. I have worn these all day every day for work, play, anything and I couldn't be more pleased. Waterproof in the rain and mud - haven't had in the snow yet. They look and feel so great. I wish there were more color choices. I would definitely buy another pair.

Best shoe I've ever owned

I live in Eastern Washington where rain, snow, and ice are common and are encountered even when walking to school. I always had cold wet feet just walking between classes, but with these shoes, I'm warm and dry. They're very comfortable too, so I just wear them all day. The traction of the treads is very good, I felt like I had better grip and stability when I went hiking with them for the first time. if you're looking for a rugged shoe that lives up to expectations, I recommend these.

Great for hikes

I have only used it twice but it has been a great shoe for hiking. Good traction. Good fit. Sturdy yet lightweight. Good ankle support. Haven't gone through wet streams yet but suspect it will endure those as well. Shoe even looks nice as a shoe in an urban environment. An all around solid and even stylish shoe.

I purchased these pair of shoes specifically to hike the half dome. I was so impressed that these shoes do not need much breaking in to. It was so comfortable and lived up to it's descriptions. Definitely would recommend this pair of shoes to other hikers.

Perfect Fit and Comfortable

First time buying a hiking shoe from North Face. Fit was true to size (8.5). Wore them for the very first time on a 5+ mile hiking trail with no issues, blisters, etc. No chance to check the waterproof feature yet.

Good Shoe

I use the shoes for work- I walk about 5 miles a day. I will need to replace the insoles for more support. As a casual shoe they would be fine as is. They have no built in arch support.

I wear inserts and heavy socks so they fit really well and were true to my size. Feel more durable than the hedgehog. Fit well right out of the box.

Will definitely buy these shoes again.

Love these shoes. Purchased for hiking and definitely impressed. The only downside is I had to purchase a half size bigger for them to fit.
