I bought these for an expedition to Aconcagua. Literally on the first day wearing them, the crotch seems started pulling apart (first pic). I superglued that opening, hoping it would keep the pants together. However, a new failure in the stitching appeared and after four days the pants nearly unusable (second pic). I'm giving them two stars because, the materials and fit were good. Clearly Mammut is saving money by using a shoddy manufacturer
Love these pants. Light enough to wear for summer hiking trips, but also strong enough to layer for winter hiking.
By far the most comfortable hiking/climbing pants that I have owned. They have worked on three hiking trips so far. Unfortunately there is a seam that is separating on the left knee. If it wasn’t for that one manufacturing issue these would absolutely be getting 5 stars.
Wore these hiking up to John Muir Basecamp on Mt. Rainier. Great material. Breathes, keeps you warm, sheds snow and moisture. Glissaded down the mountain and my bum was nice and dry.
