Good Fit and Easily Installed.

Fast delivery. Easy and fast installation. For my road bike, the fenders seem plenty wide enough. You can adjust somewhat to place the fender closer to the tire to potentially block spray better. I will be installing front and rear aluminum carrier racks in about a week. That will be a good test to see if the fenders interfere with the racks. The rear fender doesn't need a bolt, but using the bolt allowed me to adjust the fender slightly closer to the tire. I also like that the fenders are made from recycled material. I would recommend, especially since other fenders seem to be significantly more expensive.

How I fit PDW fenders on a bike with 700x41 tires

I had to make a few mods to fit these on my Surly with 700x41 tires. Bracket did not leave clearance, so I drilled a couple holes and used a few zip ties. Had to trim the metal bracket up front as it was hitting the steering column. Trimming fenders was easy as these are light plastic. These fenders should do their job to control water on wet days.

They Fit Good.

I can tell they are going to work great! Install was easy on my 26" Biachi Milano. Front was an easy bolt on. Rear required a few easy mods in the form of a bracket trim and a longer attachment bolt, both to be expected considering the application. Far less fiddly of an install than conventual fenders. Glad I got them. I'm more prepared for the wet season in Detroit and looking forward to more riding because of the protection the fenders will no doubt provide. Good Sourcing REI.

Excellent Company and Great Product!

I am thrilled with these Sodapop Fenders. You can tell from the before and after pics that they have completely changed the look and vibe of my DualSport bike. I am now riding a mix of city greenways with a mix of paved and packed gravel paths and needed the rear fender to keep dirt and grit off of my bike rake and bag. I am now moving away from anything that looks like a mountain bike and more to a gravel or urban bike feel as that meets my current needs. I did have a very minor concern with the installation and called PDW for support and I was beyond impressed with their responsiveness and care. The fenders offer the option to be able to remove quickly and use as needed, but I was looking for more of a permanent and secure installation. A few small drilled holes and zip ties provided the security that I was looking for. Portland Design Works is just the type of small business that I love to support and I have since returned and bought a kickstand and bell from them.

Good fenders but be sure they'll work on your bike

I bought a pair of these because I wanted to be able to put them on and take them off quickly compared to more "permanent" fender installations. But, I have a rack on my bike and because the rear fender is not stabilized in the back it will flex up and down with even the slightest bumps and would be constantly banging against the bottom of the rack which would be extremely annoying. It's interesting that PDW has a couple of pictures on its website showing these fenders on a bike with a rack. Also, I have a carbon fork on the bike and the supplied bolt to attach the front fender is too short to go all the way through the hole in the fork crown, so if I want to use these fenders I'll have to find a longer bolt.

Not made for mountain bikes

I have a Schwinn GTX3 and these barely fit but are working good so far. My boyfriend has a Schwinn MTB and these do not work with his MTB tires. PDW makes these in 2 different sizes so these must be the smaller ones. If I ever switch to MTB tires I'll have to find something else as well. For the price they'll work for me. Note, one of our sets was missing hardware but PDW shipped out replacementw very quickly. That being said, I didn't want bolts sticking out that far so I simply went to the hardware store and bought bolts that were the exact lengths I wanted.

Didn’t stay in place

I was prepared for a fender/bumper to interfere with my ability to secure my bike to a stand, but unfortunately the fender would droop down every time I tried to ride, hitting my wheel and causing additional issues. It was very easy to install and I wanted to like it, especially given its sustainability score, but unfortunately it did not work for the function I needed in a water-spray reducing fender.

Excellent quick-fit fenders

Wonderful quick-fit fenders. Have these on a 90’s trek multitrack hybrid that doesn’t need full fenders for my use. They look clean, are easy to mount and adjust, and stay put surprisingly well. I used the integrated clips to mount the rear fender to the seat stay bridge rather than bolting it on. I can see how folks might have more trouble with it twisting or shifting out of alignment with the rear wheel when using the bolt-on option. Only thing I would warn folks about is that the front fender is easy to bonk with your foot while pedaling through a turn. That can cause misalignment with the front wheel, but it’s easy to rotate it back at the mounting point.
