Attractive but….

This pullover looks great and the shade of blue is perfect, but the fleece fabric pills up quickly. It needs “shaving” regularly and collects lint and dust. Other Patagonia fleece fabrics seem to resist pilling.

Comfortable and stylish, but VERY lightweight

The pullover fits as expected for a large (at 5’11” and 170). It is ultra soft and comfortable, and it seems warm enough for chilly (upper 50s) mornings on the trail or in the field at work. I can’t help but notice how thin and lightweight it is to what I expected. I should have guessed based of the price point, so I will most likely be getting a thicker pullover for the colder mornings, but if you’re looking for ultra-lightweight pullover and something thin enough to use as a base layer then this is for you.

Adequate Fleece

This fleece shirt is adequate but not outstanding. The fabric balls up at the cuffs and on the shirt tail - something that I haven't experienced in other fleece shirts I've owned, but it fits pretty well, is pretty warm, seems to hold its shape and otherwise does what it is supposed to do.

Tall and trim size down

I am muscular 6'5", 225 lbs with a 46 chest and 33 waist and long arms. I initially purchased the XL, which is my normal size, but I was swimming in it. I exchanged for a L which fits perfectly, even at my height, the length in both torso and arms is correct with a tad extra. If you're in that 6'4" - 6'6" range but with a trim build, L is the way to go, especially if you intend to wear as a base layer. As always, quality garment. Super light and comfortable. Perfect for work over a polo shirt.

Running - warm for weight, amazing for price

I'm 6'2 175-180 lbs and bought an XL, which is the same size I buy for the Better Sweater and lightweight synchilla snap t. I wanted a fleece quarter zip to wear over a thin or fleece base layer for really cold run days. I wasn't sure how it would breathe or feel on the move, but I had a gift card and decided to try it. I went for my first run in it on a windy, 6-degree snowy day in Boston and -- when paired with a fleece base layer and the REI hyperaxis fleece jacket 2.0 -- , I was astonishingly warm. Much more so than I have been with other thin fleeces as a midlayer. It's also extremely comfortable around the house and fits really well under a jacket. I wore it over a t shirt and put a nanopuff over it and was plenty warm walking my dogs. Considering how much cheaper this is than other Patagonia fleeces/products (only $5 more than their capilene cool longsleeves), I thought it was a great value.

great fleece

Warm and great fit. True to size. Plan on using it as a mid layer for skiing wanted something to replace wearing a hoodie that got annoying with the hood sticking out.

Impressed with the quality and the price

I've always loved Patagonia's mission and brand and have a bunch of their more spendy items, but I never saw this fleece on the cheaper side. It's extremely soft and comfortable and actually fits quite well. Really impressed. Wish they made more colors!

Wear this anytime, ANYWHERE!

I love that you can wear this with almost everything, and for numerous occasions - hiking? check. office? check. lounging at home? check. going to a farmers market? check! Very warm and kept me perfect during colder California days with just a regular t shirt underneath. No doubt if I went with a base layer this would only need a thin jacket for 5-15C weather. The material and finish is also great, I only noticed maybe one extra thread sticking out, otherwise it is amazing. Sizing: 170cm, 67kg. I got a size small and sleeves aren't super short but are just perfect. Plenty of room around my torso and fits my chest well ( 70" cm chest). Fit is perfect for me and I typically wear a size small shirt (medium if I want them to be more baggy.)

Typical Patagonia Sizing Inconsistency

The material feels good before you wash it. The biggest problem is the sizing. This is like the Better Sweater where the sleeves are way too long for no reason. Inner layers have no need for long sleeves. I’d have to go to get them cut short for 1.5-2 inches for this piece to be usable. A quick Reddit search will tell you how insistent their sizing is. Would not recommend this piece unless you have long arms, like real long arms.
