This makes a great rear tire. Bit more aggressive and better hookup than the Ardent but rolls almost as well. Not sure I'd run at the "recommended" 50 PSI... running this in the rear at 26 PSI and Minion DHF 2.5 in the front at 22 PSI.
Good rolling tire with good grip. Using it as a back. Would highly recommend to anyone. I ride enduro style so no XC style or long climbs.
I bought two Maxxis Aggressor 29 inch 2.5 tires to replace maxxis 2.35s that came with a Kona Mahuna medium. I wanted a wider tubeless tire. The tranistion worked and I am very pleased. They grip so much better (turns and uphill) and now I'm able to lower the pressures thereby creating a little more cushion over roots/rocks on the trail. I did use an air compressor with a presta air compressor nozzle.
Installed up front on my HT. Once I hit the trail, I immediately noticed less rolling resistance and a much grippier ride. Minus one star bc it was a pain to install on my stans 29er rim. Had to leave the tire out in the sun for an hour to soften.
