Excellent tool for the job

Excellent chain link tool. I have had a couple of the generic ones and they usually work pretty good but after dropping them more than a few times they come apart. These seem really solid and Park Tool has a good name for quality stuff. I also like that they work in both directions removing and installing quick links.

A tool you didn't think you needed

Yes, you can remove and install master links without this tool, but why? I did it for years but the tool makes life so much easier and it works flawlessly. Don't wait as long as I did if you change your own chains.

Quality tool

Works great. Not as easy to use as Shimanos tool, but also not as pricey. Eliminates much of the cursing associated with struggling with needle nose plires!

Does what it's for

This is the right tool for the job. Makes opening and closing master links easy. I used on Shimano Quick link and KMC missing links.

Why did I wait so long?

After using channel locks to release and install the master link I finally decided to purchase this tool. One of my best bike tool purchases to date. It makes releasing and reinstalling a the master link effortless and much less messy. Definitely a worthwhile investment.

Great handy tool to remove quick links, power lock

Price on par with what I found online, plus I get cash back at the end of the year from REI. The pliers worked beautifully, clamp and click first try in loosening the SRAM power lock. This tool is a keeper!

It does one thing, and it does it quickly

I tried a few DIY tips for opening a master link, but none would work on my rusty chain. This tool of course worked on the first try.
