Fits Great for Women Too!
If you're a woman looking for a fantastic hydration vest, don't let the fact that this vest is technically considered a "men's" vest deter you from purchasing! I'm a 5'10 female, have broader shoulders and I'm a little more on the busty side, so the "shrinked & pinked" women's version of this vest, the Dyna, just wasn't going to cut it for me. I like this black vest better than the purple women's vest anyway. Why do some companies assume all women want purple and pink gear?? Anyway, I used this pack for the first time (without having tried it on beforehand) on a 26 mile trail run. The fit was fantastic!! It has multiple adjuster straps and they didn't cut me weird in the breast region. The 1.5 liter water reservoir kept me hydrated the first 13 miles of the run without having to refill it! The water tube didn't leak at all like I've read many others have issues with. I'd just make sure to cut it to a good length before your run (just read instructions on the tag). I also loved the many front pockets that held all my nutrition and phone in an easy to access breast pocket. There's another storage pocket on the back of the pack where I stored a small first aid kit and car key. Even when the water reservoir was filled completely to the fill line, the vest didn't weigh me down after tightening the straps and it didn't bounce at all when I was running! I am super pleased with this vest and just wanted to write this review so that other women would feel comfortable purchasing this awesome vest instead of the teeny tiny women's version. 10/10!

Sliding straw and bouncy fit
The straw slides freely through the magnetic holder. So every few steps its extended waving around in the air smacking u in the face depending on speed. The packits self bounced more than the Nathan. I returned this thing. It can be fine for day hikers, not ultra runners.

Great For Trail Running

I broke this pack in on a 23 mile trail run yesterday. There may be a tiny bit of bounce, but it was negligible within minutes of running. You can hear the water sloshing around behind you but that doesn't bug me at all. The magnet on the sipping tube is a nice touch to keep the tube in place. I didn't use any flasks, so the pockets on the front provide lots of storage for gels and snacks. Extremely satisfied with this pack, the only drawback for me right now is that the bladder gets pretty warm from body heat. Not sure if there is a way to bypass that issue, but if lukewarm water is the only drawback from this pack, it' still well worth it.

Great For Trail Runs

Received as a gift and used most recently on a 14 mile trail run in frigid conditions. During the run was able to fit my phone, keys and gels along with an extra pair of gloves and a hat and there was still more space! The only issue with the pack that I discovered after about 10 miles was that due to the low temperatures, the reservoir tube had frozen. But no worries, I’ll just order an insulator and that problem should be gone. But all in all a great little pack. Looking forward to my next long distance run!

great, for the most part

I am a busty woman so chose this men’s pack vs the smaller women’s one. I used it for marathon training and a solo marathon and it was great, the reservoir is a good size and i like all the pockets. My only issue is that the hydration reservoir and straw molds faster than any other other brand I’ve had. If there is ANY drop of moisture left it will mold. The mouthpiece especially. I’ve even gone as far ask to run bleach through it and it doesn’t change. I’ll just buy a different brand to replace it, but very annoying.

Worth it!

To whom it may concern, This was well worth it. I run very far and there’s very little options on cashing water in hiding holes in my area. So while browsing the isles I opted for this vest vs the fancy and pricier rival brands. I pack my phone, keys, gels and wallet in this bad boy. Plenty of water is held. Furthest I’ve gone with it so far is a 16 mile run. Again plenty of water. I also use it for hiking as well. Did well up in big bend, Teton and Yellowstone. All in all it’s very good. My only change I would recommend is that if you’re going fast. Sometimes the magnet that the mouth piece rests on is a bit hard to catch. So I’ll just tuck it in to a strap. Does the job but I’m sure the engineers are scratching their heads on this. Do it.

Stay hydrated when out on a run!

Great hydration fest for longer runs! Did some research and Osprey's Duro 1.5 Hydration The Osprey Duro Hydration Vest seemed to be the best option (fair price; great reviews). The vest performed well during longer runs: helped me stay hydrated; keeps my phone or keys secure; lightweight. Keep in mind is that you will need to cut the resevoir tube to re-size - not rocket-science so you should be OK - and that you may want to make an additional purchase for a cleaning kit. Enjoy!

Perfect

This has been the best gear purchase of my year. I logged 30+ miles with it in the first month of owning it and have zero regrets. I’ve used for trail running, slack packing, even did a half marathon with it. I was worried about comfort and The vest staying secured as I ran as I was searching the market and this one definitely has met all my expectations. The pockets in front are great for GU packs. Even has a zipper compartment for my phone and keys.

Good, Simple Vest

I bought this during COVID quarantine, so I was unable to try it on in the store. Fortunately it fit very well. The water in the reservoir will slosh against your back (although not rubbing), but it is not noticeable after the first 10 minutes. I've taken this on a few runs in the half marathon range so far, and been really happy with it. I do not get any rubbing or chaffing. It has been comfortable and holds bars/gels and cell phone and can also fit a very thin rain shell.

love this product for hot pavement runs

Purchased to help with my 7-10 mile regular runs. As long as you remember to remove the air (turn it upside down and suck out the air) it’s super quiet. Super snug and comfortable fit for a 44R chest. No rubbing or irritation. This is an excellent purchase. Back pocket is perfect for a light rain coat. Front pockets perfect for extra nutrition.

Awesome hydration pack

This pack is so much better than carrying a water bottle—feels light even when full and stays in place equally well whether full or partially empty. I put the full pack in the refrigerator the night before a trail run and the pack seems to help keep me cooler on hot Texas runs. The pockets on the pack are perfect for holding a phone, keys, or ID cards.
