If you are over a c cup or a d cup with a compression bra don't bother with this go and get a small men's. The unfortunate thing to note here is that product is not manufactured in large (according to the associate helping me look for it in the system) and there is a large size gap between this product in medium and the small male equivalent product. So while the male product fits me better, it is still loose when I cranked it all the way down and the shoulders are a little wide. I'm 5'3 with DDD so this isn't a new problem but there is a huge sizing gap here. The male small fits pretty well over the boobs the female medium doesn't get down past the boobs it is what it is.
I got this to replace a Camelbak hydration pack and I like it much better. There are a couple of improvements: - The bladder is much easier to remove (snap rather than loop to keep it in the pack) - Easier to make sure the bladder seals properly (folds over on top rather than a threaded hole) - Magnetic clip to keep valve in place - Pocket size/placement is easier to get a phone in/out The biggest downside, however, is that the straps that tighten on the side rub the inside of my arms when I'm wearing short sleeves or a tank, and I end up with sore spots about the size of a quarter-- even when using an anti-chafe balm. For that reason, I can only wear this one out when I have a long-sleeve shirt or sun sleeves.
This vest is perfect for medium/long runs when you are out in the woods or don't want to use a communal water source. Lots of storage pockets and lots of adjustability. And a great value for the price point. Also, the mesh is nice because it allows airflow AND lets it dry fast. The mesh parts don't bother my skin at all. BUT, weirdly, the back does chafe a bit. I have tried in a variety of shirts and I always get one firey chafe line right where the bottom of the pack hits my back. bodyglide mitigates this, but I would be hesitant to buy a larger pack in this family because I think if I wore it for a run longer than 2hrs it would really irritate.
Love it! I use it for hiking and it holds enough water for medium-longer hikes (with room for the 2 regular water bottles in the front, plenty for something more strenuous). Can't speak to trail running but it fits me great and doesn't seem like it would get jostled around. Most importantly the reason I wanted to write this, I am larger than most of the people I have seen review this. Will try to post a picture later but I am around a 36-38 DD cup and the Medium fits me with extra give, it is stretchy and could handle a good few more inches. It looks less like a vest and more like a thick backpack but still cute and comfy. Yes it will give you a bit of double boob but I still love it. I couldn't find reviews from busty people so I hope this helps someone!
My boyfriend has the mens version of this vest (which I tried out and loved the design) so I thought I would purchase the female version for myself. However, good luck getting this to fit if you're a woman with slightly broader shoulders or have a bra size larger than a B cup. Super frustrating, and borderline insulting, that the largest size Osprey makes this vest in is a S/M. They do not even manufacture a M/L. Such a bummer because the design of this vest is exactly what I am looking for.
I ordered the s/m in "purple storm." It is not purple. It is blue. It fits me perfectly. I'm a 34D, and it is not too snug. I love the versatility of adding a bladder, or just using two 250 ml hydration bottles. Order those on Amazon (Osprey Hydraulics Soft Flask). I also love the extra room for layers, and I can fit my iPhone 10XS Max in one of the pockets where I would normally keep a soft flask. I run with comfort--nothing chafes or rubs. I barely notice that I have it on. I use it for trail running and short hikes in the summer when I don't need as much gear.
Bought this for running trails in Palo Duro Canyon with my GSD. This vest is AMAZING. I am very petite and this vest fit perfectly without moving or rubbing/chaffing. There is a zip-pocket in the back of the pack that I put my GSD's collapsible water bowl along with car keys, and there's just enough room left for me to put gloves or a beanie in there just in case. I will say the side pockets in the front are not very secure. I slide a map in one and within a couple of minute the map disappeared. So be careful what you put in the front two pockets. All in all, I am very happy with this product.
This vest is lightweight and looks great. Unfortunately, when I put it on the strap on the side is at the worst spot and rubs my arm. I couldn't even walk around my house without it hurting from rubbing so there was no way I would attempt running in it. I'm not even sure how anyone could wear it as looking at the picture with the model her arm is right there too. I went to REI to see if I needed a different size or if mine just was made wrong but I had the same problem with the smaller size and the ones in store in the size I bought. Sadly had to return it.
This hydration pack has been absolutely perfect for my longer runs. Beyond the training runs I've worn it on a half marathon road race and a 10 mile trail race. It has caused no discomfort and is the perfect amount of water. I have found having more water really helps with longer runs. I am 5'2" and fairly petite. This was by far the best fitting for my shorter torso when I tried on various packs. The design is well thought out. The chest straps are easy to pull off to get off and on quickly. The drinking spout snaps on to a metal piece and is easy to get to while continuously running. The pocket on the back is just big enough for some tissues, chapstick, and gloves. I think a thin small jacket might be able to be shoved in there. I haven't used the front pockets for additional water but they look helpful. I love this pack!
I love Osprey & own several Osprey backpacks. So I had high hopes when trying on the vest in the store. I was really confused by the size (or lack of sizing options). I usually wear XS or S shirts but I have broad shoulders. This thing fit like a "one size fits all" bra (meaning, not at all). Most vests have the capability to adjust straps, but this one has very limited ability, so the shoulders were too snug and the sides were too large (really weird design). If it fits & you are looking for a very small running vest, then maybe this will work. Come on, Osprey!
