Great sound, great build, but sensitive touch
I have had the product for a few weeks now. Pros: During runs, the earbuds stayed in their place, and the wrap-around design is comfortable. The call feature is clear, I've used it for several business calls in my busy office. The button-less touch feature responds well, requiring only a light touch. I've used the Plantronics BackBeat Fit, and sometimes the buttons on the ears felt like I had to press the earbud further into my ear to play/pause/changing songs. That is not the case with the JBL Endurance. Cons: That said, the "light touch" is sensitive. The device will sometimes turn itself on because the touch feature is against my collarbone (when I leave the device hanging around my neck). This con is not terribly distracting. Overall, I would recommend to a friend.
Gather round' children let me tell you a story.
Well, let me tell you this kids. If you have the opposite of hearing loss, then these garbage headphones are for you! If not, you will wonder why there is no bass or why you can't turn the sound above a whisper. That is, if you got that far. First, you must take 15-30 minutes properly adjusting them into your ears, hopefully you don't have an itch in your right ear! If you do, expect to change the song or turn off the headphones without much effort as you carefully place them in your ear properly for the next 20 minutes. When all said and done, you'll be thankful you only spent $50
Love them
I have been using these at the gym for about a month and I love them. They stay securely on your ear so you don’t have to constantly adjust when your working out. The sound quality is good too. I took off one star because, like many of the other reviews say, the touch sensitivity on the right earpiece is really sensitive. However, I think many of the reviewers exaggerate the sensitivity. It really doesn’t bother me that much since I don’t really need to adjust them very often. They’re still great workout headphones! I haven’t tested the water resistant capabilities.
Good sound, convenient. Touch is too sensitive
No problems syncing to phone, good sound and good battery life. Comfortable around the ear. I notice that the cord will catch on the back of my neck and pull when I turn my head, but it doesn't pull out of my ear. The downside is that the touch is too sensitive. I can't adjust the fit or touch in anyway without triggering a some function, which is particularly annoying when it accidentally hangs up calls. The swiping motion for volume control basically doesn't work, because another function is always triggered on the litest first touch.
Too Sensitive
Sweat is the main problem here. My sweat goes into my ears and disrupts the connection causing the music volume levels to be inconsistent. Everytime I try to fix the connection or wipe the sweat away it pauses the music or changes the song. Can't change the volume if there's sweat. Will turn off completely if there is sweat contact. It's frustrating and causes me to stop my runs or workouts.
Don't use near the water
Looking for a wireless headphone that I could use in the pool. The REI sale rep said "sure these will work" "they are rated for it". Well for starters you should simply remove the drops of water off the packaging. It implies that they were in the water. You manufacturers should just simply state "NOT INTENDED FOR USE IN POOL or SWIMMING LAPS". This would help tremendously especially with sales reps who are looking at packaging to discern whether or not they will.
Good sound and fit but poor controls
These headphones sounded great and generally fit snugly, but would occasionally require adjustment during runs. The problem is that all controls (volume, pause, skip etc) are integrated into the earpiece, and any slight touch of the earpiece to adjust fit would inevitably pause or skip my music. Other pros: lightweight, good BT connectivity.
Lovely color, shape, but...
Wanted this to work, but the swipe-control on the flat side of the earpiece, failed to function...this swipe-touch concealed control, was totally random in performing it’s job. Sound quality was fairly decent. Fit to ears was comfortable. But can’t use this because its main control was mostly useless/bad manufacture.
They stay in my ears!
Great head phones for running. They come with several ear buds to find the right fit. Once I got the right ones and learned how to put them in my ears, they worked like a dream. They stay in my ears even on long and sweaty runs. Sound is good with high and deep tones. I highly recommend these for running.
Love these!
I bought these for the JBL name and they are the best pair of buds I have ever bought. Great sound, waterproof, lightweight and do as they claim they will not hurt your ears or fall out. Go ahead try to make them fall out...good luck. Just wish I knew they came is colors before I purchased....
