Great traction up front

I upgraded from a 2.3 DHF to this 2.5WT and WOW what a difference. Feel much more confident going into burms and corners with the wider tire, love this. I kept the 2.3 on the back.

DO NOT RECOMMEND

This tire failed on me after less than a month. I normally have no issues with Maxxis tires, but it appears the EXO casing is not up to snuff. A small rock section caused a tear in the sidewall of this tire, leading to an instant flat. I had to walk several miles back, due to not being properly prepared (my fault, but also, a month old tire shouldn't fail from light trail riding! I don't do anything too crazy.) I recommend this tire ONLY if you do very simple trail riding. Any rocks will eat this tire up within a month apparently. I'm going to reach out to REI and Maxxis about getting a replacement of higher quality because $72 is not worth it for such a garbage tire.

DHF Max Grip

Note: the photo and description are not completely correct. I bought this Oct 2020, it is DHF 3c Max Grip, exo, TR WT. THe max grip means softer, grippier rubber that rolls a bit slower. (The title shows "Terra" which is incorrect). Super grip on wet roots, but slower on hard pack trails.
