Scraps of cord

Instead of getting one 35" piece of cord, I was given 3 pieces (I could handle two as long as they were a usable length, but what am I supposed to do with a 1.5" scrap!?). I probably won't order this online again, which means REI won't be getting my business as there isn't an outlet nearby.

Useful, practical cord

You need some of this if you alpine climb, bought two ten foot sections. Good to practice your knot 🪢 tying at home before you go out to adventure. Prusik cord, V-thread anchor, multiple uses. Add this to your useful gear equipment. Carry it with you in the mountains 🏔

Perfect anchor cord and Prussik

Cord is vibrant in color and looks good, but more importantly it ties nicely and is easy to work with. Will definitely buy again next time I am in need of more!

Misleading

The photo of any paracord shows one pleasing color. They sent me a totally opposite color that I would never choose in a million years. Totally misleading. Have to read the "fine print" to basically see that they can send you any color that they want to. Color is important in paracord work or they wouldn't make different colors.Like ordering a car and letting the dealer choose your color. I will never order paracord from REI online again. Very disappointed.

Stronger 5mm chord.

I got some of this for my sister to hang her hammock and liked it. I'm going to get some more for me as an emergency hiking rope. This is slightly stronger than the PMI 5mm chord (by 200+ pounds) and weighs more per foot (denser). So it's probably not as good of a prusik chord but I think it would still work fine for that too.

Hammock suspension cord

Fine for hammock suspension lines. Using it with a pair of 38mm SMC descending rings. No slip overnight (~8 hrs) during light rain. Some stretch (it's nylon).

I’m no expert but this…

…is decent enough cordage for hanging your gear. Not sure if actual strength, so I wouldn’t trust this with my life but it’s more than adequate other uses.
