Verry good passform. 100%dry and You still verry comfy innside. I used This on a 16hours trip in Jotunheimen where we climb, crossed glaciers, went into primeval forrest. This is the best Gore tex jacket i ever have tested. Good jobb.
I bought this Jacket for her when the Royal LUSH color is available. She is 155 in heighth and only weighs 40KG, the XS fits her well. The color is so beautiful and she really likes it. This jacket can hold a down jacket and a fleece jacket under it. When we were climbing the mount HARBA, the wind is so strong, and the temp dropped to around -10 C' , the jacket performed quite well, both we were deeply impressed.
I love to be active in nature. In this jacket I stay dry in all weathers. It withstands both rain and strong winds. If you combine it with Norröna falketind thermo, you stay warm even during really cold winter days.
I bought thai for my wife a month ago. She has used it when she has been out for a walk and we has been on mountain tours. Added a photo from Gaustatoppen.
This will be a great jacket for winter or summer. Very lightweight and waterproof. Being a landscape photographer in the Northern US it gets very cold and windy in winter and so far falketind really delivers! The pocket locations are great because they don't interfere with your gear backpack straps and the arm cooling zippers are perfect. No wear on my shoulders from my heavy camera gear either, very durable! I would recommend to go one size bigger if you are going to wear a lot of base layers in winter, it will get tight on chest and upper arms. Size is true fit.
I bought this jacket this summer. Perfect for hiking and everyday-use
I got this jacket about a year ago, used it quite active primary for hiking, partly for mountain biking. Mostly used in windy or rainy / foggy conditions. The pros & cons are: + Very well designed ventilation: under-arm zippers, sleeves Velcro, the lace at low perimeter - all functional and really helps to change the heat-level inside the jacket. + High collar: protects the neck and stands up to the bottom lip once the front zipper is fully locked. Great for those windy and rainy days in the mountains. + Hood: easily adjustable with one hand whether you need it wide or tight. Have not tried it with a helmet though. + Fit. Generally great fit, not baggy, not too slim - just about right for a moderate range of motion during hikes (size L for 194 cm & 75 kg). + Minimalism. There is nothing unnecessary in this jacket. - Sleeves: the length is just about right but on the short side. When the Velcro on the wrist is open - they are perfect. When the Velcro is closed tight, they go a bit short (like 1~1.5 cm to reach the knuckles). It might be a personal preference, and one may say to use gloves, but I used to have a jacket from another brand, where the sleeves were a bit longer - I that was magnificent & functional. Example given, I have Norrona Primaloft100 jacket in the same size L and the sleeves feel a bit longer. On a benefit of sleeves - the cut after the Velcro is nice and ergonomic, so the wrist has a full range of motion. - Front pockets: product description says, that they are located to be compatible with the backpack. However, I find it more convenient when the openings are close to the main front zipper: then you can open the pocket and use it with one hand. Meanwhile the current design requires opening with one hand and using with another, especially with a wide backpack, which sort of a kills the idea. - Length. When hiking with or without backpack - it is perfect. However, once finished with a hiking day and setting a tent (bending without backpack) - it runs short, so you have to pull the jacket down time to time to protect the lower back from catching a cold wind. Not a big deal, but a bit annoying. 2 cm at the back part would fix the issue. In general, the pros are valuable and cons are minor (and might be just a personal habit from another gear), so I'm happy with the product and would certainly recommend it.
I bought this jacket just a year ago. I decide for the light blue one and this color is just wonderful. I recommend the jacket for mountaineering, ski mountaineering and also normal summer and winter hiking. I've tried it not yet for slope skiing but I think that matched with a soft-shell and with a warm down jacket it would be perfect also for normal ski days. At the end I recommend not only this Jacket but the entire Norrona collection which is extremely cool and above all efficient! Giacomo, 19, Italy
I am not the Regular athletic type that most quality outdoors equipment seem to be made for. So my options were kind of limited. Usually it’s the shoulder and chest diameter that is too small for me to be able to fit an insulation layer. On this one it works. I had to increase size to one that has too long arms but it’s works fine thanks to the overall design of the jacket. It feels really great to wear. Exclusive but simple. I have not tried it in rough conditions yet! Only simple walking in heavy rain, or with backpack in light rain. So far I would really recommend it. I’m counting on using this for many years and I will certainly use the guarantee if I have any issues.
I got this as an early birthday-gift and has been using it frequently since then! It is very light and sturdy against wind. The plan was to use it for camping but I have yet to see how it performs there. It has mainly been used as a jacket for small hikes and a couple of bike-rides and it has been as expected, just perfect!
