It was these kona ww2s or RF Chesters

Happy with my decision to buy these, the quality is great, they have tons of grip and feel solid. Mine have encountered a few rocks a tree and I have crashed on pavement once. They are holding up exceptionally well. One thing to note is make sure the aluminum end caps are snugged up I had one almost fall out.

They Check All of the Boxes

Large surface area, Grippy pins, Narrow profile, Forgiving composite construction... There is a reason these quickly became an industry favorite. I save a couple mm's in height from the aluminum pedals these replaced which can make a difference in the world of slack/long/low trail bikes now for avoiding the ever present pedal strikes for those of us not blessed with constant downhills. metal pedals were so jarring on strikes that I destroyed the threads in one crank arm within a year of getting the bike. Still have had a couple good hits but so far has been less dramatic and damaging.

Great price on great pedals

I bought the alloy version of these pedals as soon as they came out. They still work great after 2 years of use. The platform is large, which gives you plenty of room to move your feet around for comfort. The grip these pedals provide is amazing! The pins are long, and sharp so keep your shins and other body parts clear. The plastic version was not available when I purchased my pedals, but if it was, I definitely would have got this version. I’ve had great experience with mountain bike specific plastic pedals in the past. They really are miles ahead of the cheap plastic pedals that come with most bikes.

No fuss trail pedal.

Like the grip on these, and the size is good to fit my (10.5/44) feet. Pins grip my Five Ten soles strongly and keep my feet from squirming on the pedals, but also let me lift a foot or reposition my feet when necessary. Axle spins smoothly, but not too easily, making it easy to get your feet back on after a dab or a stop. Seem solidly built and insides look fully maintainable.

Great upgrade for the price

I mostly do short gravel and road rides around town, and prefer flat pedals since I can just wear trail running shoes no matter where I'm headed. These replaced some older pedals with shorter pins, and the difference was immediately noticeable! So far I've put about 100 miles on them and it feels like I'll keep them forever. Love the color options (even though I went with black).

Great Pedals

I bought these because the stem extends all the way to the end of the pedal and they had them in store. Can only be installed with a pedal wrench no hex. I had to lube them because the plastic made noises as I pedaled. They have ample foot space and grip quite nicely.

The pedals are OK, but I prefer the PNW pedals.

The pedals are OK, but I prefer the PNW pedals. On the first ride less than 20 miles in and the pedals were squeezing. I took them apart and cleaned the grease out and reapplied some park tools grease. So far no more squeezing.

Platform pedals

Quality is average. I used them on some beach hybrid bikes and they were suitable for that application
