New & Improved & works great!

They recently reformulated this from the older mix that seemed a bit watery, to a new formulation that's a little bit thicker and easier to pour. It works awesome! I am amazed at how a little goes a long way. I use it to wash delicate bike jerseys & bib shorts, and synthetic hiking clothes etc. All of it is goes in drenched in sweat (sorry!) and comes out smelling brand new. It's amazing. In contrast, regular detergent seems to build up while leaving lingering sweat smell. I love this detergent and am really impressed with how well it works – and I wash in cold water in a non-fancy washing machine. Also, it does not cause any skin irritation on me. I highly recommend it!

Soap is OK, packaging is remarkably annoying

I use it to wash my breathable sports gear. It works fine, gets stuff clean, no lingering smell (if this is an issue). But they can't seem to figure out how to bottle their product. The "new, no-mess" cap practically requires a blowtorch to initially unscrew. Seriously, I'm a hurkin' he-man and I could barely get it off without channel locks. If you can get it loose, you then hit another Impenetrable Barrier -- one of those annoying, glued-on film caps with the handy little tab that pulls off in your hand, sending you to find a sharp knife to chisel out an opening. (Are they seriously worried that someone is going to poison the laundry soap?) And just for further insult, when you put the cap back on it will leak soap ALL OVER THE BOTTLE AND YOUR HOUSE, making a huge mess. You basically have to wash the cap with your clothes, or hit it with a pressure washer, to avoid this. Bottom line: I will not buy this again, based purely on the insane packaging. Too many alternatives out there that do the same thing with less hassle.”

Works Great!

I’ve been using this product for years on my outdoor clothing, tents, and sleeping bags (both down and synthetic). It works great at getting stains and odors out while maintaining the breathability of my tech clothes. I also use it as a spot remover on my everyday clothes as it works for that to! As one reviewer stated their packaging is a bit annoying. Instead of putting the cap back on after I pour it into the detergent reservoir I throw the cap in with my clothes. This way it doesn’t drip down the side of the bottle. I’ve never had an issue opening, but the interior safety seal does need a scissor/knife/fork to remove. Lol. I have it 4 stars for how good it works but dropped the 5th due to the package.

Great detergent ! not so great container

The good This detergent is just what I wanted no more foul smells, no heavy perfumes , gentle on my very expensive gear, cleans great and a little bit cleans a good sized load. The not so good This bottle is a poor choice for this soap ( I have the 64 oz.). The container is kinda like an oversized 2 liter style cap and the cap is supposed to be used to measure the amount of detergent needed for a load trouble is whatever is left runs down the sides of the bottle when you put the cap back on. I thought ok I'll just guesstimate the amount and go straight from the bottle but it still wants to drip down the side it's just plain messy. It should be a pod or the style of container that the cap drips back into the inside the bottle when placed back on. I transferred mine to this other style and all is good now...

Gets the stinky smells out of your gym clothes

This detergent works great to get the stinky sweaty smells out of your performance fabric gym clothes. I've been using it for over 15 years, through all of the name brand changes and probably a few formula changes, but it still works great...way better than any mainstream laundry detergent. There is no fragrance, so clothes come out smelling clean. You don't need much as it is very concentrated so a bottle lasts me quite awhile. I also use it for some performance gear, jackets etc as it cleans well, besides getting the stink out.

The best technical wash, great for sensitive skin

The first time I bought this was for getting funk smell out of technical fabrics, replacing penguin wash I used for years. I use this product for all of my laundry as it works best for my sensitive skin. In my HE washer I use half a capful to a full capful, depending on number of items.

Soap is fine, packaging is terrible

Agreed with other review. Soap works fine, but I had to put in into another old laundry detergent bottle because they apparently did no market research on how to contain laundry detergent without it dripping everywhere every time you use it. To be fair, the laundry detergent bottles with the drip catchers are a fairly new idea </s>.

This product is great for getting any and all smells out of clothes and shoes. I use it on clothes that get any sort of mildew smell. After 1 wash it is totally gone.

Great performance; messy packaging

This detergent does its job on my stinky hiking/work out clothes but because of the way the cap is designed, if you use the cap to measure, the residue will leak down the side of the bottle.

Great detergent. Terrible bottle cap shape.

I’ve been using Power Wash (preferred old version Sport Wash) for a couple years — for all sport clothing and other clothing made with any kind of stretch fabric. The annoying feature is the poor design of the cap. I can’t use it to measure soap amount unless I rinse it out afterwards so that the gooey soap won’t run down the side of the bottle after screwing the top back on. I have to use a separate measuring container AND this is the only laundry soap container I have to set on a paper towel so my counter top doesn’t get soap-scummy from the drippings. Please correct this unnecessary annoyance.

This is the only product I can find that truly gets the smell out of my kayaking clothes. Works great for my brother’s stinky socks too!
