Bad zippers.. Break in the cold
I like these pants. They fit well, have great ventilation and are well designed. The big problem comes from the zippers that are used for the thigh pockets. These are different than previous Patagonia zippers and have large plastic teeth. Yesterday I was skiing in a temperature of about 15 degrees F. The teeth on both zippers cracked in the cold and the zippers burst open. I brought the pants to a local gear repair expert and she informed me that this has proven a significant design flaw in recent Patagonia products. I would say to definitely stay away from these pants given the awful zipper choice. Be warned
