Fantastic Shoe with one small flaw...

The levitate 2s have been my go-to shoe since they were released. I can't stress how comfortable they are for me on my long runs of 10 to 12 miles. Feet never hurt once! There is just one thing I must warn you about. sometimes I like to run fast. And when I run fast, I run hard! DO NOT take a hard turn with these shoes. On a couple of the pairs I had, The midsole ended up tearing away from the upper. but no big deal! A little bit of super glue made them good as new (yes I know, that rhymed). Brooks customer support is also super great as they gave me no hassle for a replacement pair of the updated levitate 4s to compensate for the shoe tearing.

Don't buy Levitate 2 to last long with minimum use.

I bought a pair of Brooks Men's Levitate 2 Grey/Black/Orange 8 D US in Nov 23, 2019 and I don't run or do a lot of walking. I noticed in the Spring both shoes cracked in half at exactly the same spot on both shoes. Kinda of a poor design and I have no idea what cause that. Maybe cause the are so light. I used to buy ACICS shoes but after 3 pairs with and each having the inside heals come apart which is a shame as they are so comfortable. My friends had same issues with ACICS so its not me. I bought the Levitates as the are light weight and so comfortable. Just bought Brooks Ghost 12 but the dont feel as good as my last shoes. Well see if the last.

Miserable: the worst running shoe ever.

After running in almost exclusively Brooks for 8 or 9 years, this shoe has single handedly (or footedly) caused me to consider other brands. I ran in the first Levitate and loved it. Unlike almost every other running shoe I've ever worn, the Levitate 2 has a hard edge around the ankle instead of cushy (why??). It rubbed the back of my ankle raw after about 7 miles and other parts of my foot were sore for several days after. Absolutely miserable. I ran in them about 10 miles before giving up and returning them. I've never had a problem like this with Ravenna, Adrenaline, Pure Flow, or Glycerin. DO NOT BUY THESE SHOES.

Energy + cushion = happy feet!

I was totally skeptical about trying these shoes. Mainly because I wasn't sure if there would be enough cushion. I was skeptical that the cushion would also start to wear out too quickly. I am happy and surprisingly ecstatic to say that the cushion is lasting a lot longer than I thought and my feet always feel happy after wearing these shoes. I've worn these shoes for my workouts at home which involve lifting and hiiting, walks and runs outside usually at least an hour to a couple of hours and everyday life. I'm happy to say that these shoes are light on the feet and make you feel as though you're being propelled forward. Brooks, you totally nailed it with these shoes!! Totally worth giving a try if you're looking for a lighter shoe with still an ample amount of cushion to keep your feet happy.

Yes , I recommend this product

Not a High Milage Shoe for Me

I purchased my second Levitate 2 pair in late May 2020 after retiring my prior pair of Levitate 2 shoes. After lest than 275 miles over a little more than 2 months, these shoes are pretty much worn out. I typically am hard on the outer heel area, but this wear has been excessive (even worse than the prior Levitate 2 shoes. I plan to order Dyad 11 this week, I switched over to Brooks about 4 years ago and had good luck with the Ghost shoes, but wanted to try something different.. A while back the Dyads seemed to last longer. I try to retire shoes after about 500 miles and at 175 lbs I am not too hard on them. It would be hard for me to order these Levitate shoes again.

Mostly happy except for the cracking in the sole

This is the second pair i have owned. While they are comfortable and great for the longer runs that i do. The only real complaint that i have is the fact that a crack appears in the sole after about 600 km of running, this happened on both pairs that i have owned. This has put me off at getting another pair of the same model at the moment since i don't want to spend that much money for about 6 months of use. The tread is still fine and i can understand tread wearing out after a certain time as i know all shoes have a lifespan. Is there anyway to strengthen the sole in that spot so there are no more cracks ?

Comfy but could use a little more stability

The shoes are great. Very comfortable. Caveat - I'm not a runner. I do cross-functional running (e.g., runs anywhere between 1-3 miles with a 20 lbs weighted vest/plate carrier), so please take my views with a grain of salt. I've logged in about 30 miles or so, and the shoes still provide a little umph as they did day 1. The only critique I have is that I wish they had a little more stability, or perhaps I need to be better about how I select running shoes. There were just some times where I felt like when I stepped off a curb, I could roll an ankle or something. For reference, I'm 5'9" 200lbs with a somewhat athletic build. All in all, I do like the shoes. Mahalo Brooks development team

Don't hold up.

I was in between giving these 2-3 stars. First off, these are extremely comfortable. I actually feel they are the most comfortable running shoes I have ever worn. Despite that, they just don't seem to last. Now, I don't expect running shoes to last forever. However, I have never had running shoes that consistently split in the sole. I had two pairs of the Levitate 2 do this. Maybe it is just a completely wrong shoe for my body or running type. However, I have never had shoes split like these do. It is disappointing considering how comfortable they are and that there is still a decent amount of tred on them. Not confident in the durability of Brooks shoes going forward, but they are very comfortable.

Comfortable, good cushion, solid build and my kids said they look cool.

I've done about 30 miles in these and so far so good. I typically wear the GTS but I've been in them for about 2 years and I need to switch it up or I typically get a receptive stress injury. I like the flexible sock around the ankle... it's much sturdier than you'd think and I get the impression it will last a long time. I've also noticed internally there is extra padding on the heel which is nice because that tends to be the first place that wears a hole in a lot of other brands. As an added bonus my kids think they look cool which is rare praise for me.

Very Nice to run in. A 9.5 out of 10

I run 5 days a week at hard paces and tiring workouts. These shoes will get you through those kind of workout. The padding worn in as you ran in it to adjust to how you move. They worked great for road and would probably work for gravel although I wouldn’t suggest getting these for that kinda running. The sock lining helped to keep you foot in place and prevented mud, rocks, etc from getting in your shoe. The negative is the weight. At first it felt like a brick on your shoes but as you ran in them more and put miles on it helped you get used to it. Another plus is the support. They don’t say support but the lining and the fitting prevent much excess movement so you don’t screw up you knee. Overall would very much suggest these shoes.
