Cute fit and design- horrible fabric
When I first tried these pants on I really excited. The fit was great and the calf was just right, not too tight to move around in but slim fitting enough to be cute. There was a little gaping through the back waist, but I was willing to ignore it because they were just what I was looking for. I am a geologist and I was looking for a pair of pants that would look good in the office but would also work if an unexpected trip to the field came up. I just hate wearing my swishy hiking pants around the office all day if I don't think I'm going in the field. ANYWAYS, I wore these one day and they stretched out quite a bit, but it wasn't too absurd. I wore them a second day without washing them and they continued to stretch out to the point where they were needing to be pulled up every time I moved and the crotch was hanging ridiculously low. I decided to wash them a give them another chance, because I figured if they looked OK for one day, I could just wash them between every wear. Well washing them must have softened the fabric or something because they stretched out almost immediately the next time I wore them, even more than before. Unfortunately I did end up returning these. I thought about trying a size down, but I was pretty sure they would be too tight through the calves as this pair was just right in that area. Great design, Kuhl, but really bad fabric for a slim fitting pant!
