Great Lantern for emergencies or outdoors
The UST 60 Day Duro is a great battery lantern. It is super bright on full power - 1,200 lumens, which they say is the equivalent of a 75 watt bulb. I especially like that the LED light is doubly diffused - first by the dome over the LEDs - and second by the outside removable diffusion globe. It softens what would otherwise be a very bright pinpoint of harsh light. I was amazed that the emergency flasher mode actually flashes out the morse code for SOS! Very well designed and made, compact, a great lantern for emergencies or outdoors!
Hard to Use Garbage.
Too clever by half design for loading the batteries (never leave D batteries in your lanterns or flashlights) that takes several minutes to relearn. Stopped working after a year. Don't buy.
