I bought these because I love Black Diamond, their clothing style and quality is consistent. I love the length on these shorts, slightly longer at 13" but much more comfortable than an 11" or 12". The color is very pleasing without being too bright or noticable as outdoor clothing. I wear a size 34 in most brands and in other BD clothing and I would say these fit a bit looser than an average 34".
