Light and Easy

used in a number of different conditions including deep snow where they did surprisingly well, however they really shine on rolling terrain where trail conditions allow you to really stretch out and "move". springy action in the heel makes them feel weightless, pretty cool feeling. the bindings are simple and fast, velcro like straps really hold your foot on the platform. they feel a lot different than traditional shoes and for non technical situations, they're better.

Good choice for snowshoe trail runs

I purchased these so that I can continue to trail run through the winter, as I have a serious aversion to pavement! Today the snow was deep enough on my favorite trail to try them out, and they performed very well. I was following other tracks for part of my loop, and also broke trail for a bit, and the snowshoes did well either way. I especially enjoyed running the downhills, and the traction on these snowshoes kept me from slipping. The rocker shape and narrow profile allows a more natural trail running form than other snowshoes I have tried.

Light and Simple

This is a very interesting product. I went snowshoeing through waist deep snow and I noticed that on the ascent through unpacked snow, with every step I would sink nearly 2 feet while the person I was with would only sink a couple inches (they had a different brand). I weigh 175 lbs and I believe these are suppose to be rated up to 200 lbs. Pros: - Super light weight - Very easy to maneuver around in. Even when my feet were in odd positions, I could easily fix the situation. - Feels like boats on your feet when you're sliding down powdered snow - Through moderately packed snow, these were perfect - Can trail run in these on packed snow - If you're snowshoeing with 90 MPH winds and you take your gloves off and the wind takes it for a second, you have the ability to run after your glove in these. Cons: - Doesn't hold up quite as well through unpacked snow unless you have someone paving the way - Definitely has 0 grip when walking on a frozen lake (concern if you're on a trail with just pure ice) - If the Velcro comes off during your snowshoe adventure through a lot of snow, don't expect the Velcro to go back on. This only happened to 1 of my 6 straps. Luckily it was the one across the top of my shoe. - If during your adventures you come across rocks, it will lessen the life span of the plastic spikes on the bottom of the shoes as mine are now slightly worn down.

Actually better than we envisioned

So we signed up to purchase these snowshoes at the initial offering because we thought they would be a new novelty item. Looked different and fun. Didn't think they would seriously perform, but they did. We're older casual snowshoe rs with a home in the mountains, so stability going up hill and downhill is very important to us. Additionally it isn't easy for us to bend over and reattach straps on a hillside...never had to, not like our old shoes. We have blazed our own trails with the Evas without a hitch. Personally I feel comfortable taking on all terrain with these things on my feet. Enjoy.

Quiet, light, fun on packed snow

I bought these because I broke my arm and I am unable to cross-country ski. I found these to be very quiet and light. I used them at on a groomed/packed snow and really liked them. I like the curved shape and found it really propelled by foot forward.

The next generation of snowshoe running is here

I have been wearing and using the EVAs for the last two winters, and I cannot wait to use them again this winter. I am an avid snowshoe runner. I can easily put 20-30 miles per week of snowshoe running on these shoes without the discomfort or hot spots on my feet like the old snowshoes I used to wear. My confidence on the downhills has never been greater since I started wearing these snowshoes. They are so easy to put on and take off, too. I love the colors. I love the conversations that people are having with me when I pass them on the trails: innovative, cool colors, fast, etc. You can hike in them as well as run. I have even run some of my fastest snowshoe mile splits in them. They are so much fun and keep me outside when all I wantto do is watch TV on those snowy days.

Great Snow Shoes

Excellent snow shoes! I was initially hesitant to buy these over the old school pairs made of metal. However, they worked like a charm, even better than I imagined! They are extremely lightweight (great for longer excursions), quiet to no noise and strapped comfortably to my boots. Oh, and the best part is that they are made locally in Boulder. I’m excited for next season! Love ‘em.

Innovation at its finest

I love this concept! The simplicity of this snowshoe is the great part, it is light and easy to use for anyone. The traction is very aggressive and grips the trail at all angles when going uphill as well as downhill. The binding is just like a sandal and adjusting it is very easy to do. This is a great choice for anyone from beginners to experienced users.

Floating

Love these! My old snow shoes were always so difficult to adjust, feet fell thru the heel hole, heavy... The Crescent Moon snow shows are super easy to adjust my hiking boots, my feet stay above the snow(isn’t that the point!) and they are light so I feel I can move quicker thru the snow! Fun stuff when you feel as if your floating and not sinking!

Best snowshoes ever!

My husband and I purchased these snowshoes online last summer and were anxious to try them out when the snow finally came in December. Wow! From the ease of putting them on to the light weight and firm grip on the snow it made snowshoeing so much easier and fun. I highly recommend this product!
