The product description is not that great, so I was a little surprised with what I got. These trousers are "raw length", which means the inseam is incredibly long - probably right for someone who is ~7' tall. This is actually a really smart move by Fjallraven, because leg shortening is one of the cheapest alterations one can do, so anyone of any height can wear these trousers. Just keep in mind that you will have to pay an alterer $10-20 to hem the trousers a few inches shorter. No big deal, just worth being aware of. As for the pants themselves, they are great. The stitching is very high-quality and the fabric feels very durable. They are impregnated with some form of wax that provides waterproofing, and you can re-wax them yourself (instructions are printed inside the pants). I will give further details on their durability as I use them, but I expect these pants to tolerate years of hard use.

I’ve gotten so tired of our disposable society, where everything needs to be replaced because it’s either worn out or out of style within a year or two. These pants are built for the long haul. Their G-1000 fabric is super durable, but still breathable. Don’t let the cotton content scare you away, they’re quick drying as well. The sizing is TRUE, not vanity sizing, so be sure you know your ACTUAL waist size. Many brands upsize their waist measurements, some by as much as six inches.
