Holds up under tough conditions
I just attended Outerbike Bentonville and wore these knee warmers everyday. Wet, cold, and muddy 3 days in a row (OK the sun did come out on the last day) and these kept my legs warm enough that I forgot they were there most of the day. I think I may have only needed to pull them back up once a day after creeping down below my bib shorts. Other than that they stayed put for many miles of demoing bikes and playing in the mud. After coming back to our vacation rental each evening they were thrown in the wash. Rinse, repeat the next day. After all that, they still look great.
Keeps Me on the Trails
This is the most utilitarian kit piece I've purchased in a long time. In coastal SoCal it's often not cold enough to wear my PI leg warmers in the fall/winter but too cold to wear only shorts. That's when these knee warmers come in. For me I really think it's less about knee coverage and more about keeping the large thigh muscles warm. I'm 5'10" 165 lbs with a thigh circumference ~21". Despite PI's size chart recommending size S, I found sizing up to M fits much better and L was too loose. I really like how high up they ride on my thighs for warmth when needed (you can adjust this). When on with leg straightened, length is about 18" Haven't tried using them under my IXS knee pads yet but may give that a try.
MTB needing warm legs
Kept my legs warm the entire ride, Stayed in place and were very comfortable. They didn’t get too hot for 3 hours, 29 miles, and 45 F to possibly, 50 F. I feel worth my Mooney.
Nice updates
With water resistant material and the gripper back on the inside these knee warmers are much improved from the last ones I bought from Pearl.
Stay Warm
Fleece lining makes these very warm. They are sized large, probably for big thigh bicyclists
So close to greatness.....
These would be practically perfect.....if not for size. I tried a small and somehow are still too big, they fall down every single ride no matter the conditions .I am only 5’7” 140lbs. Extremely annoying. Would be super warm and comfortable, if they actually stayed on. I have not been able to find xtra small, womens or children's sizing.
Thermal Knee Warmers
I was really pleased with the fit and comfort of this knee warmers. There is a wide temperature range where I find knee warmers to keep my knees at a desirable temperature where leg warmers or tights are definitely too much.
Great product
Very nice knee warmers. I replaced an older set from PI and the improvements are impressive. These are nicely articulated below the knee to keep them in place. Warm without being too thick.
Longish knee warmers
do what they say they do. Longer than I expected. Cover under my shorts and almost to my ankles. bought them a size smaller than I normally buy them. warm soft material
caused thigh abrasions
I bought these knee warmers for a bike-packing trip to replace older ones that were slipping. These still slipped initially, but I finally got them to stay up. Unfortunately, I forgot to remove them before I went to bed (in the dark, in a tent and sleeping bag). I woke up in the middle of the night feeling like I had bee stings on my legs, and realized that the pain was from the leg warmers, which have a protruding rubbery strip on top elasticized portion. Next morning, I discovered that the strip had worn through several layers of skin on my left leg and caused two bleeding sores. On the right leg, the rubberized strip reddened and blistered the skin in a three-inch long, narrow, scratch. Granted, I screwed up by not removing them before bed. But regardless, I won't wear them again and will try to return them.
