POOR quality

Don't order the white, other colors may be fine. First time I noticed 'black' looking spots was after vest got wet in the rain. At first I thought the spots was dirty rain water splatter so I washed it in the washing machine on gentle cycle but when I took it out those same spots were there. I washed it one more time and again the same thing. So I gave up and just hung it up to dry, and once dried no more 'black' spots. But this time I noticed a yellow ring. Now what??? So once again I washed it and this time as I was hanging the vest up I noticed that the 'black' spots I was seeing was actually the clumped down, and then after it dried again the same small yellow ring showed up which is due to a LARGE clump of down not being able to dry correctly. Then I noticed A LOT more clumps. I am to say the least extremely disappointed in this vest.

Amazing, doesn't cut it!

These vests are wonderful and everything I wanted in a vest. I don't like being cold, but even more than that I don't like being bundled up, feeling like I can't move freely. With this vest I stay warm and it's lightweight enough that I don't feel confided like in my bulky, heavy coat. I am able to wear the vest indoor and not feel too warm and outdoors without feeling cold. Over all it's spectacular and definitely worth the money. I purchased the balsam green and the tropical peach. The green is a lovely color that is true to the picture. The peach isn't as bright as the picture shows, but it is still a nice peachy pink that will be perfect for spring.

Coastal Blue more like periwinkle.

I bought both the black and blue/denim. Docking a star because (1) Photos of the blue online looked like a navy, but in person this vest is periwinkle with denim on the collar. I thought denim would be the color but no, it's actually denim jean material! Kept the black, but blue is going back. (2) sizing. I regularly wear a small/medium in TNF clothing but had to get this vest in extra small in order not to be boxy and have too much room at the arm hole. I'm 5ft 8", 125lbs and 32d bra. I have a longer torso and the XS is still long enough in the waist for me - it's also still comfortable (not too tight) over the combo of a long underwear shirt and patagonia R3.

So deeply in love

For the past three years I've been toying around with buying a nice down vest but hadn't been able to convince myself to spend the money on a nice real one but now wish I had done it so much sooner. Every winter for the past three years I've bought a cheap vest and loved how it looked but found that they don't keep me as warm as I'd like so finally I bit the bullet and got a North Face Nuptse 2 vest and love love love it. In terms of quality the vests I use to buy aren't even in the same league as my North Face vest. The fit is flattering and keeps me exceptionally warm. I'm mad at myself for waiting so long to buy one!

I will definitely be buying another!!

Between my daughter and I we have 4 of these vests. We live in NW Minnesota and these vests are wonderful for our cold, windy weather. My daughter and I both hate bulky coats so we love the North Face vests. She is in college and wears hers almost every day! You can dress them up or go casual depending on what you wear underneath. I spend alot of time at ball games and Im always wearing my North Face. Cant say enough about them...a must up in this neck of the woods for a busy mom / grandma.

The girlfriend loves it so much she refuses to take it off!

My girlfriend is one of the most selective people I know for clothes. She knows what she wants:) We looked around at least 15 different stores, drove for hours, and spent several days looking for her "perfect vest". After looking through at least 30 different vests (felt like hundreds), she set her mind to this one. She wore it everyday, got countless compliments on it, and loves it. She says it looks great, feels great, and keeps her warm!

Perfect for school where coats can't be worn. Warm but not too warm. Comfortable and non-restrictive.

Love. Love. Love!

I was searching for a warm black vest I could use universally. I have a lightweight one but needed one for WI winter weather and hockey rinks. I first completed the size chart and my ht.5'9 & wt.160 came up as large. I debated what to do as I flip between med/large a lot depending on the cut. Well, I ordered the large and it was too large. I looked square, arms were big just not a good fit. I decided to go out on a limb & try a medium. I absolutely love the fit now. It's warm & thicker but doesn't make me look bigger than I am now that I have the correct size.

Great for hiking!

Bought this vest for hiking in Iceland - it was great! Actually, kept me a little too warm. But great for being outdoors and not needing the arms to be fully covered, during your activity. Super warm vest, very comfortable. Pockets are great for storage (us ladies know pockets can be non-existent is some clothing). Definitely a great addition to my closet - will come in handy frequently in my NY winters.
