Great quality, easy to install and does the job

The small fits my 2017 Tacoma perfectly. I installed it in 5 minutes and immediately took 2 bikes out. Quality seems great and I love the little window for the backup camera on the tailgate. Solid!

Not For RAM trucks or Road Bikes

If you like watching your expensive bike flop around in the bed of your truck - buy the Dakine DLX. Not only is the fit "not so great" on the tailgate, the tie down loops don't have enough velcro to cinch down on the down tube of a road bike - and my bike is carbon fiber so they aren't exactly skinny tubes. Beware if you have a titanium or steel bike. I really wonder if the R&D group at Dakine even tested this on actual bicycles. I'm trying to decide if I should just return it or wrap my down tube with a pool noodle just to make the purchase worthwhile. If, however, you want to protect your bike, DO NOT BUY THE DAKINE DLX

Super easy way to transport bikes

This pickup pad is great! I've only transported 3 bikes so far, but it would definitely fit 5 comfortably. It fits pretty well with newer model trucks that have the backup cameras mounted in the center of the tailgate (rather than higher up like older models). Of course, if you load the center of the pad up with bikes where the opening is, then the bikes obstruct your camera view quite a bit, but I can still see through the wheels and spokes whether or not I'm running over something. When I first put it on my truck, it was a bit stiff, but as long as you re-adjust and cinch it down, it fits pretty well. It will break in and get more malleable as time goes on though. My only complaint is that it's $40 more than the old pickup pad version, which seems like of extra dough for only having a slightly larger opening for the camera and an anti-theft grommet in one corner, which if someone really wanted to steal your pad, all they would have to do is slash off the corner (it has thinner material) and take it. But I suppose it could certainly deter lazy thieves when it's locked into a D-ring in the truck bed.

Good pad but needs improvement

The pad will not fit all types of bikes, so be careful. My mountain bike fits fine, but my kids bikes need to be strapped down with bungy cords. In addition, the rear flap for the back up camera doesn't work on my 2018 F150.

Great product, lift up flap means reverse cam on 2017 f150 works great. Had 4 bikes on it so far, no problems.

So so fit for F150

Does the job and bonus, my tonneau cover can still close. That said, the fit isn’t perfect for my 2016 f150 tailgate. The pad (large) is not as wide as the tailgate, leaving some exposed edges. The tailgate access flap does not fold under well so you have to flip it up and hook it to a strap (by design). This is working for now but I anticipate the hook will break at some point from being caught on a bike or wind at high speeds. The straps that hold it on seem sturdy enough but there is no way to quickly remove the pad. Either you fully undo the straps or just leave the pad attached all the time.

Simple and very effective. Security is the only drawback, but even it is ok.

Poor design

Unfortunately I am not happy with this product. There is hardly any padding on the inside of the rack and the bikes will rub against the tailgate.
