Great detergent ! not so great container

The good This detergent is just what I wanted no more foul smells, no heavy perfumes , gentle on my very expensive gear, cleans great and a little bit cleans a good sized load. The not so good This bottle is a poor choice for this soap ( I have the 64 oz.). The container is kinda like an oversized 2 liter style cap and the cap is supposed to be used to measure the amount of detergent needed for a load trouble is whatever is left runs down the sides of the bottle when you put the cap back on. I thought ok I'll just guesstimate the amount and go straight from the bottle but it still wants to drip down the side it's just plain messy. It should be a pod or the style of container that the cap drips back into the inside the bottle when placed back on. I transferred mine to this other style and all is good now...

Put it to the smell test!

Nathan Sport Wash has effectively removed the stink from synthetic (and cotton) clothing that my active family uses. We often air dry sportswear but waistbands or bra cup liners have harbored moisture. After two or three long cycle washes, the smell is gone. This detergent has saved us hundreds of dollars by making clothes truly wearable again.

Great detergent. Terrible bottle cap shape.

I’ve been using Power Wash (preferred old version Sport Wash) for a couple years — for all sport clothing and other clothing made with any kind of stretch fabric. The annoying feature is the poor design of the cap. I can’t use it to measure soap amount unless I rinse it out afterwards so that the gooey soap won’t run down the side of the bottle after screwing the top back on. I have to use a separate measuring container AND this is the only laundry soap container I have to set on a paper towel so my counter top doesn’t get soap-scummy from the drippings. Please correct this unnecessary annoyance.

Serious Stink-Buster

This stuff is amazing for odors: I had yet to seriously attempt my scrub my new sandals in their first year of life and was not really expecting more than a 50% reduction in stink at best, but I was pleasantly flabbergasted when they smelled of _nothing_ after drying!

Great Detergent for Workout Clothes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Worked well. I could tell a difference in my workout clothes just from the first wash. I had no issues with the container. Was packed in plastic bag and arrived with no spills. Will buy again

this stuff is phenomenal

I have used this product to wash down sleeping bags, wool shirts, and hard shell rain gear. EXCELLENT performance. Rinses completely clean, no scent. Kills odors. It will replace all the other products I used in the past to clean/restore my outdoor gear. Pay attention to the instructions, a little goes a long way!

Old Formula was Better

I've used the original formula Sport Wash for years, and I'd give that 5 stars. One of the best things about, besides how well it worked, it was that it was so easy to pour, measure, and mix in the thinner formula, and easier to wipe off the bottle when the cap leaked. But this "new formula" is gooey, gloppy slime that's harder to measure and looks like a factory mistake in the bottle with clear and white swirls and a non-homogenous mixture. I think the new formula is cleaning all right, but I'd take the thinner original hands down over this gooey mess.

it works ok

I bought this detergent based on a recommendation from a friend at the gym. My husband and I are obstacle course racers and some of our gym wear smells great upon leaving the wash...but as soon as we sweat in them they smell terrible. Yesterday I wore a tank top in the gym that I recently washed in the Power Wash, yet it had the same weird smell despite washing it with this detergent. I'm going to try soaking my clothes in the detergent in the bath tub and see if that eliminates the odors. Otherwise, it's just...eh.

Awesome product!

Very very happy with this detergent. Not only my workout shirts get laundered with this, but also my work t-shirts that can be subjected to 8 hours of humidity and sweat. My work shirts would start to smell pretty bad the second I started to sweat, that issue is now gone! The only recommendation I would make is please change your shipper. It took 8 days for a bottle of detergent to go from California to Minnesota on UPS.

Great detergent for cycling clothing

Nathan's Power Wash is my favorite detergent for washing my cycling clothes. I had been purchasing it from some of the online bike shops but it was not always available at those sites so I decided to go directly to the manufacturer. Nathan's gets my clothing clean and smelling fresh and is very gentle on the fabrics which keeps my expensive cycling clothes looking new for much longer. I highly recommend this product!
