Directional Tread - PAY ATTENTION when mounting!
The tread on these tires are directional, you will want to mount them with the arrow tread design rolling forward. The image by the first reviewer had them on backwards. Place the Michelin logo at the your valve stem for quick acquisition of where the valve stem is when pumping up your tires. Its not the end of the world if you mount the tires on back wards, but note. Excellent tire for city commutes.

First flat after less than a month
I don't have a car, so my bicycle is a critical. I was told that this tire would hold up to daily use. I hadn't had a single flat with the previous tire, even though it was worn through the tread. I've had this tire less than a month and it's already failed.

Provides good grip and soft ride.

I replaced my stock 25mm tires on my 700cc bike for these 28mm tires. It make the ride much more comfortable riding over bumps and small potholes. So far I have done a 20 mile ride on the Santa Ana river trail and it holds well. The side reflective strips are subtle and a bonus for safety. I have gotten flats on my 25mm tires due to thorns, but I am hopeful these 28mm hold well against sharp object with its 1mm ply, I can't say as this is an very early review. Overall, I am enjoying the look, grip, and comfort ride. Early review so take that in mind.

Budget Tire

I average 800-1,000 miles a month on my Ghost Urban Square 2. I got about 1-1/2 months worth of riding on this tire before the sidewall tore and I ended up blowing my tube. I will note that the item # that I purchased was 1163700002, but the price was the same. This may or may not be a replacement. Either way the tire rode nice but I agree with handle CSCe on rotating the tires. I also noticed the rear wear down quicker than the front. I will rebuy this item due to price point. I also have to note that the reflective strip is a plus since I also ride in the evening and well into the night. The picture posted was after I had replaced the tube from getting a blowout.

Great value and ride qualities

I installed these on my around-town errand bike (700x35) and really like the improvement over the Kenda tires I replaced. Rolling resistance is much less and cornering is greatly improved as well. Still tough enough for crushed gravel trails and city riding.

Stable; good traction

I replaced 700x23 tires with this 700x32on my 28 year old Trek 2300 road bike; as I have aged I am less concerned about weight and more concerned about stability and this tire has given me more confidence on this road bike. The lower pressure also has contributed to a smoother ride. A word of caution - it fit fine on the front tire but the height (rather than the width) prevented it from clearing the rear frame/brake set so I had to settle for a smaller Michelin road tire on the rear wheel.

Very Affordable and Durable Road Bike Tire

After almost a year of purchasing one tire as a replacement, and another as a replacement, I finally have been able to have a complete set of this particular tire on my bicycle. That is the only reason why it took me so long to provide a review for them. In that time I found them to have decent traction and road holding capabilities. The anti-puncture protection layer on the tread proved to hold up quite well over various surface conditions around the SF Bay Area and prevent most punctures. Still no match for a nail though:) See photo! The only drawback I experienced is it wears down quite fast. I believe others have had this same experience on the propensity for the tread to wear down too fast. Of course it did not help to prolong the life of the tread when I would occasionally lock up my rear tire on my single speed:) Actual rating is 4.5 stars. Well worth it!

Michelin 700x35

So far no flats, lots of broken bottles on the commute. I hope I do not create self fulfilling prophecy. Reduced tire pressure to 45 psi for less bone jarring ride. Replaced Bontrager 700x40 which seemed to find all the tire puncturing material on the road.

Easy rolling!

Bought tire to replace fat tries on my mountain bike. Bike rolls much easier on pavement.

Decent touring tire

Michelin bike tires I used in the past (several years ago) seemed to be a little undersized so that they were difficult to mount on and dismount from the rim. Fortunately I had no problem installing these. Their "ride" is a little on the firm side compared with the Continentals I've used (apparently no longer available) but certainly acceptable. Ask me again in about 2000 miles!
