Nice complete Kit for first aid.

I am picky regarding first aid kits because I am a nurse and an outdoors-man. I do not skimp with first aid gear. This kit is practical and meets my expectations. The only suggestions I would make would be to replace the CPR shield with a one way valve mask. Although heavier it is much more effective and practical. The shield is useless. Also I would add a quality tourniquet and a heavy drainage ABD pad.Add your own epi pen if you are allergic to bees. Nice kit that is practical for the car, home or camp site/cabin. Not too bulky for the backpack either. I would rather have more then less when it comes to first aid.

Simple shortcut

I have found that any of the premade first aid kits are a little on the cheap side. You really should build one up yourself. If you don't have the time or the inclination this item is a decent shortcut. The mix of items is good and the layout of the bag is nice as it provides targeted areas for specific types of injuries.

Great first aid kit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This first aid kit is very nicely laid out. I like how the pouched fold out for easy access and are labeled so clearly with type of injury the contents address. The carry bag itself is lightweight and fits into a backpack without taking up too much room. There is sufficient room to add an epi pen, small eye wash bottle, and extra bandages. I seem to always forget safety pins when I pack my own kit, but this one has them. I'm very happy to have this first aid kit for unexpected mishaps while away from home.

Decent Kit, but Watch Those Expiration Dates!

This is a reasonably good kit in a pinch. Its a good starting point to add to and tweak to make it better. My only gripe is that I just checked mine, its less than a year old from the store, and most of the medications and ointments have already expired. I've had it for maybe 8 months. Who knows how long it sat on the shelf at my local REI. With no way to tell, its a real diceroll as to how fresh it is. If you have the time, you're far better off putting together your own First Aid kit with items that wont expire for a long time. If you're going on a trip tomorrow and are ill prepared, pick this up and at least you'll have something.

A great general purpose kit.

I bought this product for use when backpacking and motorcycling. I have already used it to render first aid to one of the fellow hikers that had gashed her knee open on the rather razor like limestone formations that are frequently found when climbing in Thailand. It is very well organized which makes it easy to find everything quickly.

Everything We Need!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the Mountain Series Explorer Kit for our families car. We like to take adventures for some weekends and vacations. This medical kit is perfect for this. It is small and compact, but has so many helpful items in it. There are items for just about every little emergency, from headaches, cuts, burns, trauma bleeding and an assortment of instruments for wound care. I am very satisfied with this product.

A Must Have!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This medical kit is a must have, it doesn't matter whether its for actual mountain climbing or to have at home. This has a lot of great quality medical supplies. It has wound care for burns or blisters, cuts & scrapes. It also has medication for pain like Ibuprofen. You get a pair of gloves, I wish it did come with like three pairs though. Everything is put into separate pockets depending on what it's for and the pocket is labeled , that allows you to quickly locate which pocket has what you need. It also has a pair of quality scissors. Its a small bag that has supplies for atleast 4 to 5 uses or more, depending on what you use it for. I would definitely recommend this first aid kit to anyone.

Handy medical kit!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My latest product to review is the Mountain Series Explorer - Adventure Medical Kit. If anyone is looking to buy a medical kit, I would definitely recommend this brand. It is organized by injury to use the right supplies needed to render first aid fast. This organization of supplies allows for quick and easy access. There are enough supplies for 4 people to use that should last for 7 days. The medical kit is packed with plenty of bandages, antiseptic wipes, antibiotic ointment, elastic bandage, gauze bandage, tape, thermometer, etc. So many items that are too numerous to list each and every one. This kit is perfect to take along on camping trips, hiking or to keep in your car, office or home. One never knows when an accident will occur, so it is wise to be prepared. The medical kit is equipped to aid wound care, burns, blisters, cuts and scrapes, insect bites and stings and so much more. If I could rate this kit on a score of 1 through 10, it would definitely be a 10.

Love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the Mountain Series Explorer first aid pack about a month ago because as a family, we love to hike and go adventures. I typically buy the standard and basic kits, but I've noticed they just never have enough of or exactly what we may need. I am so happy with my purchase of the Mountain Series Explorer kit because not only is it full of everything I can think of that we may need in case of an accident or emergency, but it has way more than I could have imagined. They literally thought of everything! I am a Mother of 4 and this kit makes me feel so good knowing that if something were to happen, we are covered. It's conveniently packaged and designed so its compact and small enough to carry with us, but don't let the si,e fool you because it is packed full of everything you need in case of an emergency. This particular series is designed for 4 people for 7 days and I believe it would exceed that if necessary. Its ideal for backpacking, climbing, paddle sports, camping, urban preparedness, and vehicle. It opens into a conveniently labeled spread so you can get to everything you need fast. The back has a map that tells you exactly where to find your supplies when you are in a hurry. It contains drug fact information, and a book inside the bag for wilderness and travel medicine so you can look stuff up. The contents include medications, bandages, antiseptic wipes, alchohol swabs, safety pins, scissors, and way more! I honestly couldn't be happier with our purchase. This company has literally thought of everything! We absolutely love it! And as a Momma, I feel so much safer knowing we have it in case we need it.

Glad to have it for family road trips

I looked around for a bit before deciding what first aid kit might be good to have in the car in case we had small issues close to home, but also wanted something substantial to have in case it was more involved and we were on a long trip. This was a bit on the higher side of what I would have been inclined to pay, but it had everything I needed in a really compact and well organized case. I added a few small things to it, but think it’s a pretty complete offering and solid buy. We haven’t had to use it more than once, and I guess that’s a good thing.
