Perfect summer hiking and climbing shorts

These shorts work perfectly when you want/need a product that's breathable, flexible, solid and all-around good looking. Putting these to use over extra long hikes, scrambles, roped climbs and casual use; they have excelled in all aspects. I can't rate these shorts enough. The 10" length for me is perfect, I like shorts that sit well above the knees. The shorts don't ride up my thighs, which is a design bonus. The pockets are situated in the right spots, making no awkward pocket filling.

2nd position after Voodoo shorts

Very similar to the Voodoo shorts except there's no zippered back pocket and the side pocket is a little odd. But they are cheaper :) Wish they'd designed it with the horizontal side pocket as with this one it's harder to use and a large phone barely fits (it's a fight to get a S8+ in or out). But the material is great, very flexible and good fit. As with the Voodoo and most of OR clothing, feels like they are designed for tall and slim people in mind. The 32 waist is too large but 30 is too small elsewhere. I still use them at the gym but need a belt which is a little weird but so am I... I'd buy them again!

Wear like gym shorts but actually functional!

These are the best shorts I've ever owned. I am 5'10" athletic build and these fit great. I love how they cut to the chase and sell by calling out the actual length of the short(10"). Takes any guess work out of knowing which pair to buy. The Ferrosi fabric is my favorite and I am slowly replacing all my pants and shorts with it. The stretch is great but they aren't paper thin and feel like they will last forever. If you look closely at the stitching these guys are not just throwing silly products out there with good marketing. They legitimately care about quality and the Ferrosi line really shows it.

The Best

I absolutely love these. I bought these for hiking but loved them so much, they're my go to short for just about any occasion now. The Ferrosi line is such a great line and these are no exception. The fabric is extremely light and breathable, yet durable. They shed water well and dry quickly when they do get wet. A few things to note: The sizing is a little big, but they seem to fall in line with most OR pant sizing. If you know your OR size, then these seem to be about the same as their other pants. I'm usually a 32 in most pants sizes but I'm a 30 in everything I've worn with OR. Also, there is only one zipper pocket and that is on the thigh. The two back pockets aren't zippered. Not a deal breaker for me, but maybe for some.

Superb shorts for hiking and wearing around town

These are the best shorts I've had in years. The fabric is very breathable, almost as comfortable to the touch as cotton, and very stretchy everywhere it matters. The waistband is lined with an extremely smooth fabric so that there will be no chafing under a hip belt. The lower side pocket is truly useful for two reasons. First, the zipper opens by going straight down so that you can get into it easily. More importantly, the cargo area of the pocket goes to the rear, along the side of your hip, so that the contents do not interfere with what you already have in the front right main pocket. This is ingenious, innovative, and allows the wearer to store things in all five pockets without having a single excessively bulky area of the garment. Thank you O.R.!

Excellent lightweight shorts

Have worn these shorts for a few weeks and love them! I'm 6'0 - fit is true to size, 10" inseam above the knee, very flexible and easy to climb and ride mountain bikes thanks to gusseted crotch. Front pockets are deeper than pants and fit a plus-sized phone no problem. Back pockets hold bandana a/o plus-sized phone without issue, though front is more secure. Material is very lightweight and dries in about two hours after hand wash. Will be getting another pair soon!

Ferrosi Shorts

I have three pairs of these shorts. I absolutely love the feel of the material. The shorts are incredibly comfortable and breathable. My only complaint is that the material is starting to 'pill' after pretty light use. I know the fabric is lightweight, but I had hoped they'd last longer before showing this amount of wear. If the material was more durable I would give these shorts 6 stars out of 5.

My favorite shorts for work and play

Great shorts for the outdoors. I find them to be comfortable enough to wear while trail running. I also coach so they are clean and professional looking, yet allow me to move freely while demonstrating mobility and dynamic exercises. I am 5'11" 190lbs and the 32 is just a little snug in the waist at first but they do stretch to a perfect fit. I only wish they had an integrated belt.

Great versatile and comfy short

Love the fit of these. I'm 5'6" 150lbs and usually fall right between a 30 and 32. Went with the 30 here and it's perfect. Definitely not baggy, but not tight, either. Stretchy fabric moves well and feels great, though is a little lighter than I was expecting.. Haven't done anything abrasive in them yet, but the material may not be up to anything really abusive. mostly casual wear.

Great Shorts

Great Ferrosi material as always. Lightweight, stretchy and breathable. The material is not the most durable however. I already have a couple threads that have pilled. I purchased this in a size 30 but it was about a size bigger. I have a pair of Ferrosi pants in 30 that fit perfect. I had to get the waist taken in. It may not be a big deal to some, but I dont like wearing belts.
