Nice Bag but Zipper Broke Twice, two different bag
Great style design, size, and security but....I had the first bag for 10 months when the zipper pull broke. Customer service was great as usual and replaced the bag, Actually I bought a new one and they offered me the same sale price and they refunded the original purchase price. Now, just over a year and the second bag has the same defect - the zipper pull broke making it impossible to use the secure feature of locking the bag closed, and difficult to close the zipper. I’m looking forward to speaking with customer service again and hopefully I can return the bag and find another one that meets my needs, and one I like as much.
Mobility meets pro tech
The pack has enough room to hold my 13" Macbook pro, 6-7" graphic tablet as well as hold my wireless mouse and the charger and other small gadgets ( hard-drive, portable charger, pens..) The pack itself is movement friendly, incredibly mobile and convenient. I've kept it worn while entering my car and barely felt it behind me. As far as aesthetics: the pack is beautiful and looks ravishing in any setting ( at my desk, on the floor, on the bed ) it looks and feels more professional than the traditional double-strap backpack I've seen other professionals wear. The pack is truly beautiful and gives your persona a focused impression. I like to call it the "clear thinker's pack." Due to it's size and shape, it forces one to only bring with them that which is truly important for production. In my case, it's a laptop + the charger, one medium sized sketchbook, the tablet, a wireless mouse and portable gadgets. I've yet to find another bag that offers the same level of portability, mobility and refined professional appeal. I only wish i could customize the position of the strap. As it is designed to only be worn over the left shoulder. for those left handed individuals might find that incredibly annoying. I also wish the back was reinforced with more solid material rather than the mesh, although that's probably what makes it so easy to slide off and back on.
Fantastic Travel Bag - HIGHLY RECOMMEND
I bought this bag for a 2 month Study Abroad trip for use all around Europe and I have no complaints! This is a perfect bag to use to protect against pickpockets and people who might want to slash the bag strap. The slash resistant straps and outer side of the bag serves as excellent protection. The unique locking system on the bag will easily prevent unwanted people from opening it. It's a great everyday travel bag providing plenty of pockets and space for books, water, electronics, etc. The bag will even allow you to lock it to small trees or benches if you need to leave it momentarily for whatever reason. Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Wish it was 5L bigger!
Bought this bag for a 2-week trip to France. I loved everything about it except it needed to be bigger for my needs. It easily carried wallet, and travel book, etc. and my bulkiest item, which was a Nikon P600 camera. I needed about 5L more space so I could roll up a jacket and put it inside. Also would like a water bottle sleeve. Turns out, the extra weight with the sling style ended up making my back ache after walking over 5 miles each day. Ended up returning it after the trip because thankfully, REI has an amazing return policy. I would recommend this to friends looking to carry light loads with the theft proof security features.
Forces my downsizing
Had to return another bag due to splitting seams, so I thought I would give this one a try. Figured I could downsize a bit, as I have moved from a MacBook to an iPad Pro. Love that it fits everything I need, in a convenient size. And it has forced me to pare all the extraneous stuff I built up in the bigger bag. The cross-body setup is muy comfortable and secure, but you can always sling it over a shoulder like a backpack. The security features are nice, especially the ability to secure it to a support, and lock the zipper pulls. The slash-proofing and RFID blocks are added bonuses. If I had a design recommendation, it would be to add a couple of strap/outside pouches, for quick access to a phone or water bottle - when security is not an issue.
Secure a perfect for travel.
Initial impression of this pack is that it is overbuilt and that is a good thing! I appreciate the centralized locking point for the zippers, but it is quit small and you have to fumble around a bit of o get all the zippers lined up for the lock. Plenty of space for an iPad mini or kindle, your documents, and even a compressable jacket like a Patagonia Houdini. It is an over the shoulder pack so don't forget to keep the contents light.
Alternate to messenger bag
It holds letter size papers, pad plus 13" Mac and I pad. Nice looking bag. There are times I will use the security zippers. Would like side pocket for water bottle. If I were designing I might have a side zipper compartment from which bottle pocket would pull out of it. That would retain the great style. Can't seem to find a strap adjustment that is great; but I can't on other crossbody bags either. Also zipper security is different than my other PacSafe bag.
Great for carry all your stuff
I bought this about 3 weeks ago and I really like it. I can carry my I-pad, phone, sun glasses, eye glasses and wallet with room to spare. I was tired of carrying everything in my hands and this fits my needs. Plus I like it's security features with zipper locks and slash resistant strap. I would recommend this for a medium capacity sling bag.
Perfect for my 8 day Western Mediterranean Cruise
This was my primary bag for use when at each port during my recent cruise. I stopped in various cities in Spain/France/Italy. Many cities had advisories about potential pick pocketing with tourist (Marseille/Florence/Rome). This pack was both excellent for storing my passport/international mifi's (I had 2)/lightweight jacket/snacks/wipes/band-aids/phone and much more, and was comfortable carry it all. The locking latches worked great and allowed me to lock with a small cable lock for extra security. The pack stored well in my Carry-On luggage when flying to our destination and was my "third" bag I brought along specific for use during our excursions. I will be travelling to Italy/Croatia/Greece next year and this will again be an important item in support of that vacation. Excellent pack!
Great for short, urban trips and commutes
This bag is a great size. just small enough for under an airline seat yet it is big enough for most essential edc. Its not comfy enough for a long hike but it will be good for in city jaunts. I wore it in Rome for 12-14 hours while walking all over. I was sore afterward but it worked. It does take some time to break in/get used to.
