Sizing Notes

All Scarpa non-plastic footwear uses European sizing.

• 1 Euro whole size = 6.6 mm = 0.26 inches

• 1 US whole size = 8.4 mm = 0.33 inches

• The 30 Euro sizes above cover the same size range as 24 US sizes.

• More Euro sizes provide a better, more precise fit for your intended use.

Rock Shoes: Scarpa recommends you downsize 1/2 to 2 full sizes from street shoe size, though downsizing depends on shoe model, intended use and personal preference.

Mountaineering: Scarpa recommends you upsize 1/2 size or more depending on desired fit. Scarpa plastic mountaineering boots are based on the UK sizing scale.

Ski Boots: All Scarpa ski bootsare measured in Mondo sizing. Highlighted (or not) sizes share the same shell size; the liners are lasted for each 1/2 size. Some skiers may want to downsize up to 1 full Mondo size, depending upon personal preference.

They stretch, still snug!
This is my first pair of climbing shoes. I ended up getting a whole size down from my normal shoe size. initially I wasn't sure if I had made the right choice because they were so tight, but they have stretched a little bit after a month of use and still fit snug like they should. I'm really happy with them!

Climbing Shoes
I really liked the climbing shoe itself. The problem I had was with the sizing. The size chart does not match the US size, they are extremely small. I wear a 6.5 and ended up with an 8.

Great first climbing shoe

This is my first climbing shoe, but it's been a gigantic step up from rental equipment. I settled on this in-store with the help of an REI staff member; I wear a men's 8.5 street shoe, but have tiny heels. This climbing shoe fits great in the toebox and overall length, and is very comfy, and has the smallest air gap in the heel of any of the shoes I tried on. It's been great for climbing; the toes have great grip on pretty much any surface, and the few times I've instinctively smeared, the soles provided tons of friction. Only complaint is that the midsole, both on the inside and outside, it steeply slanted and prevents me from resting on a hold with the middle of the shoe.

Great first climbing shoe

I purchased these when I'd grown tired of renting shoes at my university's climbing gym. They had zero break in period, and are comfortable for hours of climbing. Reason I say its a good first climbing shoe is because as you advance, you can "out-climb" this shoe. I found that the harder routes with the shallower foot holds, this shoe is not aggressive enough to perch on them.

Adequate

If you are a beginner and tired of stinky rentals, these will be just fine. These shoes are kind of trash for smearing and edging compared to better shoes, but they're fine for the first 6 months or so of your climbing career. I've tried other shoes at a similar price point with better soles, but they did not fit as nicely as these do. After a few sessions, these feel like comfy slippers.

Good sizing

I would say at first they hurt. After breaking them in they fit pretty well and they were comfortable. The only problem for me is that they aren't that sticky. But that's a beginner shoe for you! My friend helped me pick these out. As a beginner there is no need for them to be too tight but just right. The shoe slightly stretched after they broken in and that's when it stopped hurting.

Perfect for tight spots at the gym

I bought these a few weeks ago to use primarily at the gym. They took three good sessions to break in, but they are amazing! These are my first climbing shoes, and I love the velcro straps for a perfect squeeze. I've been using them ~3x a week and they seem to be holding up well.

Quick on, loose fit

I've been using these shoes for about a month and so far so good! I was told that they wouldn't stretch out too much, but they have a bit. I'm a relatively new climber so just starting to learn these things. I really like the Velcro straps, it makes it quick to get up on the wall.

These are extremely comfortable, for the pain you endure with climbing shoes. I have great feeling and range of motion in these. To sum it up they just feel right !!! I bought these in the store and the staff was amazing !

Excellent/Awesome/Comfortable Beginner Shoe

This is the first climbing shoe I have purchased and they are perfect! I went with my street shoe size and they are comfortable. I would recommend downsizing a 1/2 size if you want a slightly tighter fit. I can wear them for about 2 hours before my feet need a little break. HIGHLY recommend!
