Garbage
Only used this Cassette for 3 rides and there was a broken tooth. I didn’t hit any giant rocks just a normal ride. My $100 nx cassette lasted 2.5 years this cassette lasted 3 rides will not be getting another one. You think for the price you pay it would last a while not this one.
The Gold Standard in None More Black
Let's face it: the cost of modern 12 speed cassettes has reached horrifying heights. That said, there are significant advantages to stepping up from fast-wearing, lower-end cassettes to get something that will run silently and shift flawlessly for 8000 miles like X01 Eagle. No other 12-speed cassette can touch X01 for its combination of low weight, durability, & shifting performance. XX1 is slightly heavier, costs $75 more, and claims a longer wear life, but in real world testing, I got 8000 miles out of both my last XX1 and X01 cassettes, so the truth is XX1 is only an "upgrade" if you want to pay $75 for a metallic bling aesthetic. What about Shimano? XT & XTR shift a tiny bit better under power, but XT is a boat anchor: it weighs a full 1/4 lb more than X01. XTR? Also heavier than X01, even though it relies on 3 aluminum and 5 titanium cogs that wear significantly faster than SRAM's machined, one-piece steel construction. Still think you want XT or XTR? Good luck finding it in 2021.
Worthy upgrade from XG-1275 (GX)
I bought this to replace a worn-out SRAM GX Eagle cassette (XG-1275, 50 tooth). The X01 cassette seems more premium than the GX--all but the biggest cog are a single machined piece, and the biggest cog is bolted to the rest of the cassette, whereas all cogs on the GX cassette are bolted together. The main body of the cassette is black and the bolted-on big cog is the same gray as the inner cage on my GX Eagle detailleur. Although you can't tell in the picture, the big cog has the same Eagle graphics as the big cog on the GX cassette. X01 cassette install is simple and identical to that for the GX, but the X01 required a bit more initial torque to start to seat the cassette onto the hub, which felt a little unnatural at first. Even with the same GX Eagle derailleur, shifting is clearly crisper and quieter than on the GX cassette, but that may be need to be taken with a grain of salt since the basis for my comparison is the string of rides I'd completed just before swapping the worn-out GX for this X01. I've put about a dozen rides on it since the install and couldn't be happier. I'll stick with X01 when it's time to replace this one despite the high price relative to GX.
Light
Very light weight cassette. Easy to install with XD setup
