Worth the investment!

It's an investment but worth it! Really feel like it's 3 jackets in one. Wear the jackets together for extra chilly weather. Wear the outer for rainy days and the inner for hikes or for packing up for trips. the colors of both jackets are very stylish for a functional jacket. I don't mind wearing the outer jacket with a dressed up outfit. Size works great with plenty of room for layers. When you wear the two jackets together, they fit right into each other. They're not too bulky together. the pink inner jacket zips along the inside of the outer jacket, and there are also subtle buttons on the sleeves and back to keep them securely and comfortably together. I just love this/these jacket(s)!!!

Design flaw

I purchased this jacket thinking it would be designed the same way that the men's version is (which my husband has and loves) but that was not the case. The inside jacket only zips in to the shell if it is inside out, meaning that you have to unzip it from the shell, take it off and turn it ride-side out, and then put it back on to wear it without the shell. To zip it back into the shell you have to take it off, turn it inside out and then it will zip back it. Not user friendly, especially when it is cold out! Very poorly designed. I returned the first one thinking it was a one-time flaw, but the second one I received was the same way. Customer Service said that the design team is aware of the problem, but she was otherwise unhelpful in solving the issue. Very disappointed as I have always been brand loyal to TNF and now that probably won't be the case.

I am obsessed with this jacket!

I am a Florida girl who loves the outdoors but hasn't ever really needed a winter coat. When I planned a trip up to Chicago I knew I needed a brand I could trust to keep this Florida girl warm. When I received the jacket in the mail I was immediately impressed with the high quality of it! Its ability to be 2 separate jackets was something I really liked. I know it will keep me warm come November!

Fabulous!

I bought this for our trip to New York this Thanksgiving, and since it's summer I won't wear it often until then, but when I put it on it was fabulous. Everything it lived up to in the description, and I can tell right away it will keep me warm in the cold Utah winters. I typically wear a large, but I got an XL so I can add layers underneath, and it fits true to what I expected.

Warm, Comfortable and Stylish

I live in New England and I'm always cold. This was the perfect jacket for me. I wear it skiing, hiking and anytime I'm outdoors -from fall to early spring. I love that I can zipper it up on those biting cold days or shed a layer on a warmer day. This is my go to and I recommend it for anyone lives through the same weather I do! Great work North Face!

Awesome travel coat

This coat is the most versatile piece I own. The puffer coat is perfect for milder weather and the outer layer is waterproof and windproof. I took this to Alaska and was able to use it for everyday use, hikes, and skiing. The puffer coat was perfect on airplanes and is super warm. I bought this as a gift for someone else and she loves it as well.

inner shell does not slip out

just went skiing in utah and really liked the jacket. To the person who says they dont like that the inner layer slips out at the sleeve... You must have missed that there is a little snap on clip "thingy" inside the sleeves. Aside from that, i am concerned that the hood will not keep out rain completely? We will see...

Light and warm

Living in Minnesota, I needed something light and minimal but still keeps me warm. This does just that! I love that I can use the outside jacket when it's windy and the inside jacket when I need a little extra warmth. When they're paired, they make for an excellent all weather jacket!!

just what i wanted!

this 3-in-1 purchase was worth every penny. the fit is great, the colors beautiful, and the fabric feels not-too-stiff. the under-arm zippers are perfect when i'm too warm, but hold the heat in when i'm not so active. i am sure this parka will last a long time.

Just replaced my old one

I had an earlier version of this jacket for at least 7 years and I wore it every day during the winter, either with or without the inner quilted jacket. It held up spectacularly, but finally lost it's ability to be waterproof.
