Thank you Arcteryx for the earthy colour! I actually already own this jacket in red. But I use it only as a base layer for snowboarding due to the colour. When you introduced the Shorepine, I didn't need another base layer. But I bought the second one only because of the beautiful earthy colour. I was wearing my Shorepine colour Rho AR for 3 weeks straight in April at the Red Rocks, Nevada. Even when it was warmer, I would not take it off in case the icy wind would come. This base layer served as my everything piece: climbing jacket, street jacket, hiking jacket, base layer, mid layer, I even slept in it. It is stretchy so you can do multiple sports in it. It is pleasant so you can sleep in it. It is warm so you can wear it when it is cold and windy. It is light so you can always have it no matter what the conditions. And...I love the colour: Shorepine (green-ish). Thank you Arcteryx for bringing the earthy colours to women's clothing line. I love my Shorepine Rho AR base layer! I wish the Rho AR was available in various other earthy colours such as the Rhasoul colour or Rhassoul Heather or Gobi or Theanine or Ginger Root or Fiddlehead.
I LOVE this sweater. I purchased it this past winter to wear it as a layer with my winter coat and it's just perfect. The fleece is super soft, the length is perfect (I like my sweaters to be on the long side) and the collar is high enough (I like those pretty high). I wear this sweater around the house when I'm cold, as well as for my morning walks in cooler weather (with or without a down vest). I wasn't sure which size to get so I ended up with XL, to play it safe but as it turns out, I'm a Large in most Arc'teryx tops. It's a little too big but I don't mind since I can wear a layer under it, and I don't like my tops to be too form-fitting. The only thing missing are thumbholes.
I loved rho lt, and thought to buy a warmer version for colder days. So I bought rho AR. It fits fine, and is very warm. BUT the material!!!! It balls up after ONE wear. And I wore it with Ravenna jacket from Arcteryx. It’s everywhere on my arm and on the back. Consider how expensive this baselayer is, I’m very disappointed. Better off with Rho Lt.

For others that are interested in the product the blue version is more teal than what the image online is showing. This a thick layer and I was looking for a thinner base layer.
This top is just great! It kept me completely comfortable (and dry) during a strenuous uphill hike. The wicking is really effective. I'm 5 foot 3 and around 115 pounds, and I bought the small size. It's snug in the body and a bit looser in the sleeves. I like oversized clothing in general, but I understand that the close fit makes this top work as well as it does. When the neck is zipped up, it's perfectly comfortable. And I'm happy with the color Labyrinth--a deep, dark teal.
I absolutely love Arcteryx Rho AR zip neck for the coldest days outdoor adventuring. It has to be in the teens or lower (Farenheit) for me to not overheat in this base layer. I tend to either be freezing or overheating and sweaty. It's hard for me to feel just right. This base layer does the trick, and it's fantastic. It's a thicker, plusher version of the Arcteryx Rho LT (which I also absolutely love). The Rho AR has a weight and thickness to it; it's not heavy per se, but it is substantial. It has a brushed fleece side against the skin that feels so soft, cozy, and simply amazing - I'm wishing I had it on right now! The outside of the shirt is deep black - no off black, blue-black, just true deep black. The material is exceptionally breathable for its thickness. The cut is very flattering - I sized up for a looser fit and it's still flattering. The half zip is amazing for temperature control - just a slight zip down and I'm so much cooler, slight zip up and I feel warmer immediately. The half zip is also flattering - turns the shirt into a kind of v-neck. The length is long on me, which I love - no yanking down, no issues with it coming un-tucked if I tuck it in, and if I don't tuck it in, my bum is nicely covered. It really is the perfect base for those coldest days. I absolutely love it, and bought two so if one's dirty I always have the other one.
When anyone says they get cold this is the base layer I suggest to people, I have worn it in 30 degree temps while running and it works perfectly. It s really comfortable so I can wear it around the house or when I am climbing. So if you get cold this is the best option, its lightweight, breathable, warm, and wicks moisture really well. Best base layer out there!
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I bought this for a base layer option while boarding. I will admit, it was thicker then I thought it would be but it is super soft and comfortable. I wear it under my shell jacket while boarding, it is very flexible and breathable without making too warm while on the slopes. It is the perfect base layer. True to size chart and fits well.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely adore this base layer. Prefect for sub zero skiing and still feels stylish and thick enough to be worn on its on for après ski beverage. Have worn this skiing, dozens of times and even on 6+ mile winter runs and it still looks new and has no odor retention. Fabric feels thicker than some base layers but I like that feature
This is my favorite go-to when I am chilly. If I need to layer, I can wear a tank/t-shirt under and still feel comfortable. Material is not itchy and keeps the wind out. As a petite person, arms are little long but is not odd or uncomfortable. I have in Small for a tight fit and Medium for a looser fit.
