Great base layer
Keeps you warm as long as you have a wind breaking layer. Pairs well with the Kuhl canvas jackets because it keeps the cold exposed canvas sections off your skin. Only complaint is it absorbs scent around the arms very easily, if you catch my drift. I've only gotten a couple days usage before needing to wash i.

Looks good...on the shelf
This is a tight fitting shirt, plain and simple. I am not an obese person, nor am I rail thin...but this shirt is cut more for the guy who is rail thinned figure.

Almost perfect but pills horribly

Perfect fit for me at 6’ and 210 lb. This may have been my favorite shirt, except that after a few wearings anywhere that rubbed was pilling horribly. I returned it. Ironically I purchased this to replace an REI four-way stretch fleece I’ve purchased in about 1996, and had worn hundreds of times climbing, paddling and cycling.

Wears horribly with activity

Runs a size small. Loved the look and fit but does not stand up to the activities it was designed for. The materials wears horribly and frays with the slightest contact as a base layer. Would not recommend. Disappointed.

Warm but pills

Nice overall fit and warm, however, material pills up in areas where it rubs against something else (jacket, etc.)

Kuhl is always wonderful

Kuhl is one of my favorite pieces of home and camp gear. This sweater is just awesome - a nice mid-layer in my opinion. Always looks great, wears well, and is a vital part of my hiking kit. It's not cheap, but it will last a very long time and serve you dependably.

Learn about the value of buying great gear!

This is an amazing piece of clothing! Fits well and the thermal-yet-breathable makes this a perfect replacement for other “sweatshirts” that have been driving me crazy making me sweat while hiking. Not just paying for the name, this is great gear!

Built to pill! Odor absorber.

Top rated?...Really? I wear a lot of Kuhl and the Ryzer by far doesn't hold to their standards. 2 MAIN CONS: 1. Odor absorption. Seems to generate its own odor bacteria, it smells when I don't. Tech wash and vinegar are powerless to help. 2. Built to pill! This fabric likes it, it seems to happen magically. I have never cared about pilling, but I know its a huge thing for most people. Pros: Fabric is very breathable has a good level of cling fit that works. Great fit great color great look!

My new favorite!

I'd been looking for a replacement for my year's old KUHL sweater. This one wasn't as thick, but seemed like it'd be a good layering piece. And it is that... but it's a lot more versatile and warm than I'd predicted. It's well-made, has a forgiving fit and a really nice hand. I should've bought 3 more!!

Amazing versatility

I love this sweater. Wore it in Banff when the weather went from 65 degrees to snow in the matter of a couple hours. Love it. Perfect.
