Quality, Affordable and Secure Equipment
I bought this package in February 2018, it is my first and only set of quickdraws that I have, and I have used it for 3 years in a row, doing rock climbing at least two weekends per month from October to May (Joshua and Baja)). Also, I had falls of 6 + 6 meters (12 meters) and I have not had any safety problems with them, it is true that they look small and unsafe, but honestly, their low weight and the little space they occupy in the harnesses makes them ideal for multipitch and sport climbing. It is simple appreciation. Perhaps the only negative point is that I would prefer a one 120 cm sling, and not two 60 cm ones. In the zone where I climb, it cannot be equalized with two slings of the same size. The Carabiners with locker are great too.
Lightweight, primo gear. Literally the best deal
This has everything you could need to start sport climbing right now; minus shoes, harness, rope and belay. I've used the 'biners for multiple uses. they are good lightweight for trad or alpine. the kit also gives you two anchor slings and four lockers which is as safe as safe can get. I've also used slings like them for my pas, they are fine. They are primarily included to be anchors slings; hence the four lockers, so don't be turned off by the novice review. Really great price point, all in one place. The best sport climbing package I've seen to date.
Great kit at a great price!
Did some climbing with them just recently, the biners are easy to lock and draws are light and easy clip. I took a couple falls on them and I haven't died yet, so I'd call that a win. As a plus, the kit comes at a great price!
Good beginner package, but not the best
The quickdraws have pretty small dogbones. I have quite a few friends (mostly bigger dudes) who refuse to use them because of the small dogbones and how light the end biners are--my argument is that if they weren't safe they wouldn't sell them. Still,, I got this package four months ago and have slowly been replacing all the components of it. One bonus of the smaller draws is that they are super light. The PAS slings are also pretty thin so I switched those out right away, as getting thicker ones wasn't that expensive. Depending on what you are climbing and how much of your own gear you need immediately, I would recommend building up your collection more slowly with higher quality gear.
good kit, decent price
good as a starter kit for anyone getting into sport climbing, or as a supplement to an existing rack (why i bought it). the inclusion of the runners is nice for anchors or alpine draws. everything is lightweight but dont be turned off by the size of the gear- its well rated for climbing usage (if you are concerned about the size of the draws or slings I would advise researching strength ratings and how much a kilonewton [KN] actually is!)
Great package at a great price
I bought this package and absolutely love the value. The biners are great (especially the lockers) and the slings are some of the best out there. Only issue is the bolt end of dogbone on the quickdraws has a massive opening, and the bolt end biner tends to flip over and twist around more than other quickdraws I've used and it's a bit annoying.
Great bundle
Despite these looking thin and frail they will take a beating. I've used these for over a year now and they are really convenient. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars is that due to the light nature the top biner in the dog bone can bounce around and turn upside down which makes them hard to clean or get of you gear loops. Even with that small problem though I'm definitely looking to buy another set of these
Trango Sport Package
Bought this kit two weeks ago. Finally had a chance to try it out on the crag this weekend. Honestly it’s the best bang for the buck. Equipment is solid. I’m 6’2 190lbs and I felt safe as can be using this equipment. Super light and durable. Easy to clip the rope in. The slings and locking carabiners worked great. I may would get bigger slings but it will work for the team being. All in all 9.0/10. Def would recommend for someone getting into the climbing world.
works great!
took these down on a weekend trip and they worked great, very lightweight. Only issue was I wish I had more than 10 draws!
