Hazardous Product Returns

Items classified as Hazardous Material for shipping purposes may be subject to special labelling and/or handling requirements when shipped.  Returns can be made to any physical REI location.  Return shipment should only be arranged through a shipping professional with full disclosure of the item to be returned to ensure appropriate handling/labelling.

If a customer returns merchandise that does not meet conditions of the 100% Satisfaction Guarantee, it will be sent back to the customer at their expense.

To return an order by mail:

  • Include a copy of your proof of purchase. No proof of purchase?
  • If your return was a gift or if you purchased your item at an REI store, an email address is required to process a refund.
  • Ship your package with a carrier that can provide tracking and insurance.
