It works alright. I get sleep on it. It is not as good as the foam pad it replaced, and the "self inflate" is okay if you leave it laying flat overnight, but really needs to be blown into to inflate it fully. It is not very thick when it finally inflates, either. I am 6'1" 200lbs, so this is a good size pad for me footprint wise, but not thick enough for me. With how wide it is, I would have liked if it folded in half before rolling up as well.
All 4 developed leaks where corner valve support is sandwiched between fabric 'skin', after ~5 outings. Concave shape makes patches fail.
I have had to return four different Alps pads to the manufacturer because of leaking. Something in their design is defective. I would strongly recommend not buying one of their pads
